Hey Guys ,

I just got a reissue Boba Fett today , which is almost a year since I sold my first one from the first wave.

I have to say im very impressed with the Reissue release, the first thing that struck me was the Vest , there were no issues and the squareish plastic insert thing appears to no longer be there or is smaller than before . The colour of the vest seems less Beige this time round and I cant be sure but the visor seems narrower. Its been a while since I seen my first one so I cat really be sure about that . The legs are noticeably stiffer and he can stand better . the square jet pack holders seem larger but again the the jet pack falls around a bit . the belt ouches seem darker brown than before. the pants also seem longer at the bottom . but I did have a hard time fitting in the shin accessories. the weathering seems more apparent than before. the wookie braids are still awful but they will soon be replaced with medicom ones . All up got the reissue for 250.00 , and traded in a old hot toy figure so I actually got him for 50.00 !!!! ill post pics tomorrow. but I can definatley say I like more this time round and I regret selling him the first time. I am still probably gonna get the quarter scale boba by hot toys later this year.

DO NOT PAY MORE THAN 250 to 270 for this figure guys, hes going cheap if you know where to look best t o go onto web stores or Game Traders , current RIP OFF Ebay scammer prices are selling him for 450 plus plus plus !! -------------- Someday these scalpers are gonn pay with their own scalps . ( says boba fett ) !!!!

nope actually the visor is the same width , but you know what I don't think it really bothers me much to be honest . also looking the figure in sunlight the vest I think is the same colour , but seems less beige though . But im loving this figure . I am thinking of getting the prototype Belt as the pouches seem more accurate and just repaint them to dark brown with some weathering. Yesterday I saw a Star Wars book that is based on how they created the costumes and shows full detail of the original costumes and close ups of his vest with and without the armour plates . His vest in the photos show its covered with blast marks which seem to disappear once the armour is on. They wanted 65.00 for the book so Ill pass for now but damn I thinki I really want that book !!

Here's a pic of mine. Still haven't found the perfect pose yet, but I still love how badass this guy looks under the right light.

And for a figure out of the box, I'm really impressed with the weathering on it too. It may not be to the level of some of the repaints on here of course, or completely screen accurate, but I'm still more than happy with it as is.

I also forgot to mention the armour plates are curved this time round the bottom especially .
I am going to put up some pics today so you can see .

Very interested in this. I can't see it from the pics that have been posted so far.

However, in most of the full-body shots of the reissue, the pants DO look to have a longer cut. Among my hates on this figure were the highwater pants.

It's hard to believe that any of the designs were updated, but if they have been, then I will be contacting Sideshow about a replacement.

Looking forward to new shots of the chest armor.

Very happy with Boba, looks great! Seeing my 1/6th Vader and my 1/6th Boba really makes we want more 1/6th Star Wars figures...

Good for the soul, bad for the wallet.

yeah , its a pain , its because when you shift the arms around the gauntletts move as well and the push the hands out place. you get used to it though . Its the same issue with most figures with a gauntlet or something similar ( captain America FA - hot toys ) > the glove gauntlet moved around similar . Batman DX12 by hot toys had a similar issue and my 66 hot toys batman has the exact same problem with his gauntletts .

OK ,
Here is the reissue Boba Fett Figure that was shipped from Sidehsow earlier this month to the Shop I got the reissue Boba from .

These are quick snaps but wanted to show the vest in particular how the square plastic this gone and the lower plates are more curved like the original Proto picture . So here is Boba straight out the box -- no mods done straight out .

Reissue Boba :

Another thing is it looks like the velro on the belt is stronger and appears larger so the belt tends to stick properly this time round. The waist sash , is also a lot tighter .

I cant seem to get the shin tool the door opener one to fit in his shin pockets it only goes halfway down.

I'd probably still order this guy if Sideshow would just get rid of the waitlist button and replace it with a buy button.

heres some pics pf my first SSC Boba Fett -- I modified it a lot . You can see from some pics how squared the bottom armour plate is back then , and that was after I took out the plastic insert from the jacket

Not really sure what techniques others used, but the plastic on the back of the vest was thin enough that I was easily able to soften it up with a heat gun and curve it the desired amount. And I also curved the lower armor piece a bit as well to match.

The chest still doesn't look quite as curved as the reissued version you guys got, but at least it's no longer completely flat either, thankfully. :)

That vest mod you did looks great DAVEJAMES . I noticed your shin pockets look bigger compared to the re-issued I have . Iam struggling big time to get the door opener tool in there .

there is some now on ebay - prices are going down and stock is coming into various online stores. I recommend getting the reissue version not the first version though I would imagine it would very difficult to know which one you would end up with .

Sideshow will probably struggle to keep supply this year because of Starwars 7 . Everyone wants to buy Starwars related stuff , was wondering how much you charge for those cathode lightsabers ?

I decided to jump on the waitlist for this. The re-issued figure looks better and for the price it seems like an overall nice package. If it converts I'll be happy but if not I'll get the eventual Hot Toys release.

That's great to hear MIKE86 ,

try and hunt this reissue one down if you can , at least it will tie you over until the HT 1/4 figure comes out .

I made a deal with my wife I will pay for her little holiday , if I can get the Boba Fett 1/4 scale. I probably should preorder it soon :)
