Fantastic looking figure!
Too bad it's the ESB version, I would've rather had the ROTJ first...
But who am I kidding, I will buy both!

Very excited for this figure.

Proportionately, it's way off in several places, and has quite a bit of room for improvement, but it's a hard character to pull off for anyone. Based on the pics/vid, the body is a disaster.

- - - My INITIAL OPINION only - - -

Strong points are as follows:

Strap for the rifle (small detail and missing from the Medicom ESB - good eye, Sideshow)
Base (gorgeous)
One-off/hopefully production paint application (super job!)
All of the correct ESB details

Hopefully 'prototype' details that will be improved:

Body is disasterous. Fat legs, waist, chest. Skinny arm(s).
Are there spats or not? The Medicom ESB had funky spats that were very ugly, which were perfectly corrected with their ROTJ version. Sideshow, take note.

The helmet being a little big is neither a plus nor a minus. The actual prop piece is definitely a bucket.

Overall, I think it looks good and I will be buying one, for sure! Hoping for a price tag under the Medicom versions.

Unless it looks significantly different in-hand, though, the Medicom ROTJ is still king (other than the imaginary scale issue). Those who have said that it blows Medicom out of the water are blinded by the light.

ESB version doesn't have ankle spats like the ROTJ.

I kind of get a kick at how some people like to pamper Medicom when Medicom has been humiliated.:)

I agree with those of you who say the body proportions are off, especially the arms. Will stick with my ROTJ Medi unless this area sees some improvement.

Even though its been an incredibly long wait... its great to see Sideshow releasing figures like that when they are at the top of their game.

I'm really thinking the arms is just a futzing issue... unless for some reason they used the armored body?

I don't know what body this is on, but if I had to guess what's going on with the arms, I'd say they used the Clone body so the costume and armor don't look too bulky, which means the arms are skinnier than regular figure bodies, and Boba has no elbow or bicep pads to hid that. With the arms in certain poses, it looks like the material is being pulled tight, showing the true width of the arms, but in others, the sleeves look fine.

I don't think they mis-taylored the outfit. Boba Fett was a skinny guy in a lot of layers of costume anyway. If you look at screen shots, the inner sleeve looks pretty skinny, while the outer/upper sleeve looks loose and fully. Like gilactiboy said, it's probably just a futzing issue. Stuffing the sleeves may do the trick. I'll look into it when I see this baby in person tomorrow.

Understandable. When you want the best, the bad is all that keeps it from being perfect. That's exactly how the design process works too. We keep looking at it, figuring out what's not quite right, and make adjustments. Futzing.
