Probably just the angle and what Surfer said, but I do see why it was brought up...

But I'm a master futzer so I'll be fine. :)

I assume its just a clone body and as such doesn't fit the baggy outfit right. Not like it fits the clone and storm trooper bodygloves obviously. But iirc the armor body is modular so they will likely refit it w/ proportional parts where needed.

As for Medicom the ESB Boba is riddled w/ inaccuracies and I don't mean petty stuff like Stormtrooper helmet vents. The colors on just about everything are completely off. Armor, outfit, guns. You name it.

I don't think they mis-taylored the outfit. Boba Fett was a skinny guy in a lot of layers of costume anyway. If you look at screen shots, the inner sleeve looks pretty skinny, while the outer/upper sleeve looks loose and fully. Like gilactiboy said, it's probably just a futzing issue. Stuffing the sleeves may do the trick. I'll look into it when I see this baby in person tomorrow.[/QUOTE]

Be sure to give us an update on the arms and body when you see it up close tomorrow!

Here's the thing:

People RIP Medicom. Rip them HARD. It's hilarious to me, because the Medi ROTJ is about as PERFECT AS IT GETS. Period.

This figure looks very, very good.

However, the people that are saying that this figure BLOWS Medi out of the water are absolutely insane. The same people that are defending the arms and body are the ones who were RIPPPING Medicom's "12 yr old body". Unbelievable.

Yes, FINALLY Sideshow has their figure in its final stages. Great! The more Fetts, the merrier. But to say that this figure has humiliated the Medicom ROTJ figure is to ignore your eyes, folks. There is alot of that in this forum, God bless it, but facts are facts.

Ah let them hold onto whatever helps them sleep. :lol

Ridiculous post from a respected member, Josh. I would be willing to bet that you DID NOT purchase the Medicom ROTJ or even hold one. It has its faults (one actually, the helmet is not the right color set), but it is the closest yet. I wouldn't say that it shames this early Sideshow version, but it is superior so far. I will reserve final judgement for the in-hand figure, but I believe that, while the Sideshow Fett will be a great addition to my collection, the Medicom ROTJ is still the best the medium has to offer.

Keep in mind, if/when replying, I have not bashed the Sideshow Fett in any way that I did not also critique the Medicom Fett. That thread can be found here.

What we clearly have here are Sideshow cronies. The Sideshow Fett looks great. Without SLAMMING the SS Fett, the Medicom ROTJ looks better. They're BOTH great.

But its ridiculous, the amount of venom towards Medicom. I am not a Medicom crony. But I do have pretty decent vision, and mine says that Medicom's ROTJ has not been humiliated quite yet.

Plus, just to again address the "blows Medicom out of the water" argument, here's a picture of the production version Medicom ROTJ. While Sideshow is very welcome to this party, they are a bit unfashionably late, unless you believe that the Fett below has been 'humiliated'.

You decide:

No but the SS ESB Fett does blow away the Medicom ESB version (which I have) away head to head. Medi is undersized, suit isn't weathered, jetpack attached too high among other issues with a brittle plastic body. You have to compare the ones that are the same versions of the same character.

Once the SS ROTJ version comes out then those versions can be compared head to head.

The helmet trim is ORANGE on it. That isn't correct at all and shows it isn't perfect one bit.

Run back to the Medi thread.

Fair enough, Josh, but you have to understand the point I am making, no?

SSC is getting pretty close IMO. 2 things I see that may be issues. I'll leave it to those more intuned with the nuances of Fett to rebuke these or not.

1. Helmet is just a tad too thin, or perhaps it's rather too tall. It's close though. I'd buy it as is.
2. Did the black lens in the helmet flare out a tad towards the chin? The SSC version appears to be parallel all the way down. The photo I found looks to flare.

I think it looks good overall though. I'm looking forward to it. I think the arms looking small has less to do with arm length and more to do with girth, especially in the upper arm area. Could use a little padding to not be as anorexic.
