Odds are the standard release will come with a normal Black SW stand. This prevents SS from having to design two entirely different trays for the EX with a stand and standard without.... Just a guess though.

That makes it even more of a no-brainer to get the Reguar from a retailer.

Well, it's an extremely nice day here today. This is the useless drabble thread, right? Good, I just checked my swcollection and I found a drill bit there. Isn't that weird? I also changed my oil last night and watched mnf, on ..... Wait for it...... Monday night.


This has got to be the most piss poor excuse of a forum that I have ever seen. A small % of the thread is about Boba Fett ( 120+ pages ) , and this is supposed to be discussion of sideshow Fett? Good luck getting new people to join this site, it's poorly moderated.... Shouldn't the 1/6 sideshow fett thread be about that, pics, links, videos, impressions, hell, anything related to sideshow fett.

Why buy the Exclusive?

Because if Luke is getting the freezing chamber stand then I'd prefer Fett still have his own unique one as well since in this case I think the artwork on the exclusive looks quite cool. I passed on all exclusive clones because I thought the unit stands were gaudy but I'm kind of digging the Fett one.

Also, you know they will use this Carbon Freezing Chamber stand again (likely with TESB Vader).

Good, then both Luke and Vader can have one when facing each other.

That still leaves Fett in need of one.

I swear, some of you should seek positions in Washington D.C. the way you so casually spend money for no value.

"No value?" I always buy direct from SSC. The rewards points and unparalleled customer service always cancel out any supposed "savings" from a retailer. Since the exclusive and the reg will most likely be the same price anyway getting the exclusive will be a no-brainer.

If you're so concerned about spending money for no reason then why spend $160+ on a Boba Fett figure at all? If you're a fan of the character just pick up a nice glossy 8x10 from Official Pix for $5.99 and call it a day.

For those looking to pickup a regular from an online retailer, do you have any preference on where you might be ordering; based on solid past experience?

On one of the posts, someone was mentioning an extra $10 packing fee. Is this something new for Sideshow in addition to the regular shipping charge or is this just a part of the inflated shipping price? If this has been charged in the past, what figure did they start making this assessment? Thanks in advance!

You know i was just thinking and not too harp that much on sideshow because they are awesome but if they insist on only giving us a Stand as the exclusive for the star wars figures, then they need to include the regular stand as well otherwise they are just swapping one stand for another and not giving us any thing extra included, and that is not Exclusive att all

And i don't mind paying the extra 18 dollars for the exclusive vs retail but when you add that damm stupid pack out fee of 10 dollars to make sure your product and box does not get damaged, that fee is what pisses me off...

I mean i don't get that fee because with retailers not only do you save 10% but every retailer that i deal with puts the box in a box at no additional fee...

So sideshow if you dont want to give the 10% discount and are charging full retail, you seriously at minimum need to ship like every other retailer i have delt with does and ship like this without any additional pack out fees, come onn now.............

Does anyone else feel the same way about this 10 dollar pack out fee and it pisses you off as well ??

I completely agree with you!!! It's even worse when you live in California and have to pay taxes. One thing I find strange, is that Sideshow's shipping price is typically the same as AE's shipping price. How does it cost the same amount of money to ship the item a few hundred miles, as it does to ship across the country in a much larger box? I hate exclusives because I hate putting up with Sideshow's bull$#|+!!!

I think the exclusive for a basic stand is lame.

BUT I will get it, who knows what kind of stands the other versions of Fett will have, nice to have a back up of something that isnt just a black stand, if those dont come with anything.

The exclusive should have been Fett's alternate blaster gun shown in many of the initial TESB promo pics and with the prototype costume. That I may have sprung for. A different paint scheme on one of the cheap stands? Mega Meh.

That all has to do with the carrier more than anything. Sure, we pay more due to sales tax, but when it comes to UPS shipping rates SS has no control. I know that when I ship to say, the LA area, it's not much cheaper than sending things to the East Coast.

Going with an out of state retailer generally saves Cal residents around 20%, but shipping is damn close to the same, regardless.
