Did you swap with the Han body at least? That helped the vest stay closed on mine.

Yep. The chests are the same. It stays closed but it's straining and the clips show. It needs a really thin slim/narrow chest. I would attack the existing chest with the dremel but I'm not a huge fan of attacking $200 production figures.

Yeah, I thought it was more the shoulders that caused the problem. The undershirt seems well tailored for the body it comes on, but the vest is way too tight on that body, and still a bit tight on the Han one (pro 1.0). I can live with how it looks on the Han body though, seems like the body they used in the proto photos.

In the ref promo pics the vest is sort of loose, though on location on Taun it is a bit more stuffed looking. I think it's the clips showing that bugs me most. I had a perfect slim/narrow but used it on the "new" Luke Bespin using the non-hatted Luke head.:slap

$40 on eBay nets you a slim body. That's still the cheapest I've found for something new and not parted out from another figure. At this point it's obvious Hot Toys is completely out of the base body retail game so I wouldn't expect any new product from them catering to customizers, which means TTM22 (and the others) will continue to have insane prices.

Regarding the vest, you can also remove the snaps and use toupe tape to keep the vest closed.

I actually think this is the best solution. I noticed on the Han coat that those snaps are really thick and they add an unnatural amount of bulk. Taking the shirt and Bespin jacket helped the Han figure, but there isn't anything you can take from Luke's outfit.

You can also use velcro to replace the snaps, although that adds a little bit of thickness too.

Toupee tape or "top-stick" has become an invaluable tool in my 1/6th customs. It's available at any fine beauty supply store. Just don't be surprised when the clerk subtly checks your "do" to see if you're wearing a rug. ;)

The adhesive won't leech into the fabric over time?

SO when I walk into a beauty supply place and grab toupee tape and a gallon of volume 30 peroxide, what kind of looks am I gong to get? Should I wear cut-off jean shorts?

A couple more Luke pics.

Just picked up a second Luke for some parts but shot a few comparisons before breaking it down to showcase what I think is a big improvement with a body swap if anyone has the Han Hoth figure too (figure on left has the smaller Han Hoth body and figure on the right has the stock, larger Luke Hoth body). You can see how much better the vest closes on Luke. Only downside is the sleeves are baggier (though I think that's how it looked on the prototype anyhow). You can see the vest on the right looking like it's gonna burst in every photo while on the left the stitching pretty much lines up.

Yeah, I also took a dremel to the chest area on the shorter body to make the vest fit a little better. Even on the shorter body, it's still too tight. I think it's the thick mid-chest seam on the shirt that's the main problem, which happens to line up with the widest part of the chest.

Are the chests the same on the two pro bodies? They look like it to me. So that would mean the shoulder width is doing the bulk of the damage with the chest still contributing like you said. It's snug but it works well enough for me.
Don't know how they ever stuffed that big body in there like it's okay, making Luke taller than Han, etc. I was thinking of adding some padding inside the sleeves to fill out the arms a bit.

I'm stuck with a tall one too. What body did you use on your Bespin Luke? Is it all HT Except the body and head sculpt?

Actually, I used the smaller Pro 1.0 from Han on my Bespin Luke. I'm also using SS clothes, belt and blaster with HT boots and hands.

Did you post more pics earlier in this thread? I just saw him hanging behind your two new Hans. Looks good. Still thinking HT will re-issue a Bespin Luke or do a 2.0, but it might be a fun project to put one of these together.

How difficult is it to actually strip both Hoth Luke and Hoth Han to swap bodies? I was thinking of swapping the bodies on mine, but didnt want to break anything if it was too hard.
