Yeah I find it frustrating as well that there aren't any truly slim knockoffs out there to buy. Even the generic narrow shoulder bodies aren't really that narrow. They're the same width as the muscle bodies, but just without any of the actual sculpted muscles.

Thanks for posting that link Pixel. I was just going to put Luke on a taun taun and be done with it, now rethinking that. I bought the old sideshow bespin han for use with the extra hoth head. Any opinions on whether or not the hoth Luke body will work for a bespin han bash? And on a somewhat related topic, short of building a 1/6 falcon wth can I do with that exclusive mynock?

I searched ebay for narrow TT18/19 figure cost around £10. Arrived a week later from China. Not sure if you'd call it "slim", but jedi Luke's outfit fits fine.

I can't for the life of me understand why Hot Toys doesn't constantly manufacture these base bodies. There is always a demand and it's easy money. Instead they let the scalper type people and/or bootleggers take all the money they so easily could get themselves. :dunno

:exactly::goodpost::lecture I can't for the life me understand why Sideshow doesn't just use Hot Toys Truetype bodies as their standard 1:6 body given their relationship and having shared credit on the Star Wars license.

That's an even bigger headscratcher, how can it be that people buy $20 HT copies from ebay to replace the SSC bodies when those same knock-offs can't cost more than $5 at production level, if that.

Picked up my Luke yesterday, very impressed, same great quality as Han, IMO.

Now some issues - ones that aren't common to every figure like incorrectly made rank badge and pocket.

1. He's at least 1cm taller than Han, so the bodies are again totally random. He measures just over 11.5" which is still too short for Han, so a swap won't fix both figures.

2. Left leg is shorter than right leg - different leg length has been reported at least once before. Shame. Haven't taken the clothes off yet and without doing so have found no way to fix this issue other than pulling out the short leg so it's not socketed properly at the knee.

3. There's a small hole in the fabric on the right side of the vest.

4. The strap on the holster is not long enough to get the magnets to touch and hold it closed.

You should ring or call Sideshow to get those parts replaced. Their QC/CS service is excellent.

I had the same problem with the legs, I pushed that short leg all the way over (like he was doing a high kick) as far is it would go basically and eventually it came back even. Body swapping Han and Luke definitely helps but still not perfect, not sure if the neck lengths are different between the bodies. Swapping the body helps Luke's vest stop looking like it's gonna burst at the snaps, though you get some bagginess in the sleeves, as seen with the prototype.
The issue on mine was the fit into the hip joint and that process seemed to correct it, but for me it was on the Han bodies (pro 1.0)--both of the ones I got actually.

One leg shorter than the other has been the bane of Sideshow bodies since the beginning of time. :lol It always drives me crazy. They must order the misaligned ones to save some pennies.

Picked-up the snow bases for both Luke and Han from Toy Anxiety for my Snowtroopers. Have to say they're well done. Like what Sideshow is doing with the little diorama bases for these, the Probe Droid and the Scout/bike.

In an early draft of the ESB script they thought about writing Luke out of the trilogy in the Wampa attack. This is what the action figure would have looked like.

Woah, you had a lot of messed up parts from the look of it. Belt, body, and vest?
Any shots of Luke Hoth with the cathode saber? Curious how that looks.

Body had one messed up hip joint making one leg longer. Vest had a hole in the right breast area. Holster's strap not long enough to close over the gun. Didn't use any hammers, just broken everything by hand, like in the old days when your neighbors were too rough with your toys. The vest I cut with scissors, but I think they really only wanted to see the body broken.

Soonish if I remember to do it - I'm always shipping sabers out, so I haven't kept one for myself yet.

I just ordered a second one of these to use for a Wampa Attack version! With the starwars15 promo I couldn't help myself! Great figure!

does anyone elses luke have black marks on his arm sleeves? not sure if its intentional weathering from sideshow or if i have a bad under shirt from factory. The time i've had it i've never really noticed it untill now it comes to selling it.
