Sideshow's ANH is now a very respectable age for a redux and if it's true that they're releasing six more figures from ANH, I don't know how one of them won't be Vader. Would be idiotic if they release Han, Chewie, Luke, Leia, etc., but then decide Vader's a pass. Don't see it, especially with SSC's second lot of ESB/ROTJ Vaders coming in January.

I like less refined, rough-and-tumble Vader. Nothing beats Vader's opening interrogation scene about the Tantive in Star Wars.

With all the SW goodness coming, it would be a strange choice for HT to do a ESB/ROTJ version. I love the thug aspect to SW Vader, but prefer the ESB look. Never saw SW on the big screen when it was out, so ESB version was my intro...:slap

I just find the ANH Vader looks a bit silly in certain areas. Like the helmet looks too big and the eyes are not fully black tinted.
I've always said that ESB defined the main characters... The movie provided the best incarnations of each visually, dialogue wise, story wise, acting wise ect.
I know ANH brought us into the SW universe, but ESB refined that universe. Look at images of both versions of Vader... It holds up better in ESB, he looks cleaner, meaner and the design has little to no flaws. The suit commands more presence as a result, and makes all of his scenes very memorable. I mean even the voice is better, the effects ect.

Overall, I think ESB is the best incarnation of Vader. The suit looks incredible and he is the right blend of thug and regal - and has a more menacing boss than in SW.:lol

"Thug aspect" is a good way to put it; Vader's persona in ANH. He does start to show his scheming side with his trick to catch the rebels, but I enjoyed the "get out there with your soldiers" aspect to Vader in ANH.

Yep, me too. Haha, never thought of him as a thug, but it fits in ANH. :lol

Does Ghetto Vader sip tea in a white dining hall with Han Solo and a Wookie? Hell no.

He jacks his ride and takes down punk ass pilots.

Just went to see if the exclusive was still available and the release date has been pushed back to February 2015.

FML. I was hoping you were joking. But nope, its delayed. (Hoth Han is delayed to Jan) Eh my wallet is gonna get hit hard early 2015.

SS Vader, Hoth Han (maybe), Hoth Luke, HT Raiden, HT Han, HT Chewie..

Watch them announce Jedi Luke and HT Vader for May.. lol

Wow, so Luke's release had leapfrogged Han's. They were originally scheduled for October and December 2014 respectively. TaunTaun pushed from October to December, but that happened a while back, right?

Jeez, I wish Sideshow could lessen the times between announcement/PO and shipping.

A whole year is just too long.

It's like that for every release. Time to get used to it. Nothing comes out on time. It's expected now to be delayed

Bleh. I suppose its better than waiting for video games. I'm still patiently waiting for Final Fantasy XV. (Was announced as FF Versus XIII in May 2006)

Taun-Taun originally planned for October now expected for December.

Lan originally planned for November now expected for January.

Luke originally planned for October now expected for February.

2015 just became even more expensive :gah:

Makes me wonder what happened....maybe they are feeling the heat to really produce great head sculpts in order to stay competitive with Hot Toys releases.
As much as it sucks, I think this may be a good thing for buyers in the end.

Han and Luke are my first direct SSC purchase and I flexpayed them so I'm wondering how it works: are they gonna reschedule the remaining payments or just the last ones?
