Well I have found the base tube if you like. Its in the last pic. That is the thinest rod and then every thing will go over the top of that. I am gonna go to a plumbers merchant and see what the have. The base tube is 22mm over flow pipe. So I want to get some bits to work with. I have to fix my landrover tomorrow but I am gonna do my best to get to the shops to.

Hey Dorg , have you a B+Q locally ? They do a great range of aluminium and brass tubing in various widths . It'd be ideal for the cannons as the diameters are standardised , meaning you can use available washers/spacers etc . Just a suggestion .:wink1:

Well I was going to bed but Pauls Hoth Gun Turret got me all over excited and I made the little vent for the speeder!!!

Man this just keeps getting better and better....:clap:clap:clap how's it going on the canon's

Just on this photo I think that the 22mm will be great for the canons and on the second ring I've used a hose pipe nozzle if that will be any help

You could get a mix maybe go from 32mm waste pipe down to 8mm radiator pipe. some pipe fittings might work as well if you unscrew the ends and use them maybe. Take a piccie with you and get weird looks as you check out the plumbing section :D

Holy skinny beardy man on a stick plumbing bits are not cheap!! I bought a few bits and they seem to be ok. I need to get my head around that I am not gonna get them screen accurate with out spending months on them, and there are to many projects on my list and never enough time so let me know what you think fellow geeks and dollie lovers.

I think they may be ok. As soon as they are sprayed up they look totally different. But I dont want to spray them until I have bought the parts for the other side or I will have no idea what bits I need!!

Once their fixed properly and sprayed like you said they'll look even better. As for accuracy they look more than good enough i reckon.

Try Screwfix for parts they tend to be cheaper check em out online so you can use your local store. You might be able to find alternate cheaper parts that look the same.

You can also send me piccies of what parts you used as i might have some lying about i can sort you.

looks like these will work in a pinch................& like you say, once they are painted they will only get better.

You must do what you feel is right, of course.............:wink1:
