This year they had plenty of stock. I was able to walk up late Saturday with no line and just get one without a hassle. They still had a lot left. I really want the main characters from Blame! and Biomega but this guy is pretty cool and messed up looking.

i think the license to do those characters are tied up with kodansha the manga publisher in japan, thats why we are gettin all these figs via Nihei/1000toys that look like but arent exactly like the characters in the manga?

the Indra is spot on to killy from blame! i.e. but its not called killy and has differences in clothing etc

thats my spec but 1000toys are using the TOA Heavy Industries name and term synthetic human and they are in the mangas........

i would want direct characters from manga but do like what we are getting, close enough, def same world. so im good if we never get exact copies of what we see in manga i guess.

Anybody get any info out of 1000toys at SDCC concerning their other figures?

Unfortunately no. They are part of the Bluefin booth and they are over-run with Gundam fans generally. I asked questions about some of the other figures they showed (including the ones you guys are waiting for now, which looked awesome in person) and then some new things I had no idea they were doing. No one at the booth knew anything except that they had stock left to get the exclusive.

I opened him up last night... really cool and creepy figure. My wife was impressed by the skin-mask face and said it looks like he has a butcher's apron on which is pretty much what I thought too. She ended up liking him best with the bubble helmet thing on though as the other two faces creeped her out after a bit. Very unique articulation on the feet/toes. A bit thin stature on the foot but with the articulation you can get him standing pretty well without a stand.

i so need to figure out which is which the names that correspond to what weapon load out. so when they do go up on site next month i can act fast gettin the ver i choose. feel as tho any hesitation and i will lose chance.

Yeah, they have a blaster canon in their throat so I opened his mouth up really wide like he was using it. By the way, the back of his head comes off and you can move the eyes around. They are not linked like PERS but individual. I did not mess with them yet so this is the stare he had out of the box (he ships with the bubble helmet on though).

it's just a passage way linked to their lungs & digestion system. don't get overcomplicated.

Have you read the Manga at all? I am pretty sure these are canons, I flipped through my books a bit last night and didn't come across the pages but I recall a group of them opening their mouths and blasting at the main guy on the bike.

Being T.O.A. Heavy Industries these things are all loosely based on the Biomega books but someone above mentioned some issues with licensing so they are not exactly as they appear in the books. Tsutomu Nihei also wrote Blame! and the two have similar style creatures (Silicon Creatures in one, Synthetic Humans in another). I don't think these guys have to eat at all if I remember correctly.

sure it can also act as a cannon, but main purpose is for food & water to passtru, the food & water gets processed and when the time is needed, a blast can come out from the same hole from generating from his tummy.
