Just picked this one up today at a local toy show. I had her pre-ordered, but had to cancel, and have been kicking myself ever since. I got a great deal on her...$40! I really, really dig this one...I think she came out great. My only problem with her is the belt. I tried adjusting it because it was slightly off center and it came undone and I can't for the life of me get it back together! Anybody else have problems with the belt? Any tips for latching it? I am thinking about just putting some velcro on it and calling it a day.

I got her a few weeks back from a fellow freak and I must say, I was right to cancel my pre-order with sideshow. This is a very disappointing figure. It's the only SS SW figure I am going to get repainted because it just sucks.:lol The outfit is pretty crappy, too.

But I need her in my collection. :sigh

Would be interesting to see, I even have an extra Leia head we could use but good luck finding a sculptor. I posted in the commission area looking for some work done and haven't heard a thing back.

That's on my list of to do's also. It will look a lot better with the parting off centre. I'm just finishing up on Obi wan and then its onto Indy, then Leia.

I have an extra Leia, I might try to do some of the suggestions, other than lower the hair-line and making the buns larger and a re-paint , is there anything else that can be improved??

The dress could use some help as well. If it had been made "wider" so that when hanging down on the figure it would create folds, then it would look more like the 1:1 version. The shiny material used is too stiff, as well.

But aside from all of the possible improvements, I still like this figure the way it is.

If you can find the right pose its a great figure. But thats the trick. It is a hard figure to find the "right" pose.

anybody have any tips on getting the belt latched?

Haven't unpacked mine yet to see the belt, but if it's a prong & eyehole deal like the Jedi belts, you might want to try a fork. Slide it behind the belt and put the eye between the fork's teeth and give the prong a solid push. The fork should add all the reinforcement you need for the eyehole while the space allows the prong to fasten through the eyehole.

No, it uses a sort of button type snap. Kind of hard to describe. I tried squeezing it together with pliers, but it didn't really help. In the end, I just applied some stick velcro and all is good now. I really do dig this figure and am very glad I was able to pick it up. I had no problems posing her...right now she is in the classic hand on hip with Stormtrooper blaster pose and looks great alongside ANH Han and Luke.
