Toy Biz still has life in them, They're coming out with a Pitt and Judge Dredd figures that look like Old Marvel Legends figs. I also heard they're doing Witchblade, and The Darkness through a contract with Top Cow along with Savage Dragon, and Invincible figures through their respective owners.
There's pics of Dredd up at:

Here's Pitt:

It looks like some of the old Toy Biz staff are still doing work for the company

They do TNA wrestling figures also.

Some of the US staff stayed but about 80% left for Hasbro including most of the sculptors.

Yeah I forgot about them (I hate wrestling), They're also apparently going to continue with the Marvel Select line.
Still The Pitt and Dredd Prototype figures look better then Hasbro's Prototypes of their Legends line IMO.

Ghost Rider looks good, I think I like him more than the Medicom version. It'll look good with my Icons collection.

Edit: Oh...wait on second thought, the Medi version does look bad ass. Still the Hasbro G.R. looks cool too!
Yeah I thought the figure it's self looks good and I would like to eventually add it to my Icons collection, I like the Medicom version more but you get what you pay for.

I saw this at Walmart a couple of days ago. wasn't too bad looking...for what it is.

No kidding. Hasbro so far isn't impressing anyone with their subpar Marvel figures.

I ran across the Ghost Rider 12" figure and bike set last week. I plunked down my $38.00 bucks and immediately placed the figure on E-Bay. At this time it looks like I will end up clearing, at the very least, $20.00 of my hard earend money back if not more. The auction still has about two hours to go at this point.

For what it cost me I really like the bike. I think with a decent paint job it will look great standing behind my Medicom GR figure.

Update - The aution ended and I ended up only paying about $4 dollars for the bike when it was all said and done.

The bike is nice, but honestly i love the figure even more. But i am a ML freak, so im used to that style. I was gonna get the medi GR but now that i have this one, i don't really see the point honestly.

Ditched the chain though, gotta get some real metal chain to put on him.

You don't see the point in the Medicom version? This is a joke right?

Not to knock on anybody, but that looks more like a enlarged 6" GR figure IMO, (looks better smaller.) :D

Im not out to knock the Medi one, believe me when i first saw it i thought it was awesome and really thought i'd probably get it. But having this one i now don't see the point. It's a mix of things, this one was half the cost and came with the bike, and its a very good figure IMO. It sutis my tastes and as a collector of Marvel Legends style figures and it fitting that style, i have no problem with it. But i fully understand the preference of the medi one if you want proper 12" clothed figure for your collection and its the best of that style, but for 12" figs in general i prefer this one.

And in all honesty, this one is actually more accurate than the Medi, and doesn't suffer from alot of the problems the medi does, small hands, thin shoulders, oversized head and zipper, add into the fact that the costumes innacurate on the medi one and it's not THAT hard to just not see the point in spending the money on it:

Like i said i'm not out to knock the Medi fig, really, for cloth costumed figures its the only way to go and it is a really really nice fig, it's just not for me, since i have this one. The innacuracies and the size problems it has just adds to the reason for me to not bother with it. I'm perfectly content with this GR fig, if you don't like it fine i was just expressing my like for the figure since everyone else was so down on it.

Great comparison pic Magnuz, thanks!

Personally I love the Hasbro version...but I haven't ruled out the Medi yet. I was going to buy the Hasbro one for the bike anyway so the fact that the figure is so cool is just a plus. The Medi looks pretty cool...plusses being the fire all around the head, the sharper spikes, the fact that it looks like he's wearing jeans with leather chaps over them. Negatives would be that huge zipper, and, of course, price. I'll wait until there are some in hand pics to go off of. Medi is just as bad as anyone when it comes to changing from proto to prod (IMO they are anyway) so it's really hard to tell what the end result will really look like. Not to mention wether it will be in an accurate scale or not.

Thanks alot Magnuz. Seeing the comparison photos has made me buy the RAH Ghost Rider. I swore I would never pay that must for a figure but compared to the film shot, he looks great. This will be my first and probably only ( I have given up on the Spidey) Medicom.

If you wanna get something medi, get the X3 wolverine it's probably one of the best things they've produced this side of Darth Vader, and is actually a proper 12" tall, i hope to get one myself someday but like you it's hard to plunk down that much cash at all, much less for toys.

He looks awesome but I have not been a big wolverine fan in years. I just have not liked how they have treated the character over the past few years.

It seems like January has brought an awful lot of excellent product. I've already handed out not one but two four star reviews - the Premium Format John Wayne from Sideshow, and the General Grievous bust from Gentle Giant. The month isn't even over and I have another four star review tonight in the Ultimate Ghost Rider and Flame Cycle from Hasbro. This is easily the best of the movie toy merchandise to hit so far, and I have a hard time believing we'll see anything at mass market better. Need proof that kids toys can look great too? Look no further than this guy.

You can find all the reviews at the usual:

And as promised, the People's Picks are now tallied and written up! You can find the link to the feature right off the front page. Thanks to everyone for voting, and the emails have gone out to the prize winners, so watch your mail box!

Thanks for reading!

Had some Walmart store credit so I picked up the 12" Icons-Style Ghost Rider w/Cycle!

Cashier: "Well that guy is scary"
Me: "Not as scary as the price"
Cashier: "$39?? What does he do?"
Me: "Nothing"
Cashier: "He doesn't even light up?"
Me: "Nope....maybe you should mark it down"
Cashier: "$41.89 is your total"
Me:

Lol, yeah the price on this one is a little too high for me. I'd like to buy one but, damn. I think if Toy Biz made this one, they would've sold it for $30 tops.
