I don't think anyone posting about Star Wars toys can pull the "grown man" card on anyone else. ;)

I know i can. you, i guess not.

Let me know when you see me whining about star wars dolls.

As I posted on Sideshow's website. I am heartbroken that there is no articulation. I can't play with this thing.

And my dilemma is now compounded by the fact that I can no longer be a completist in the line. I think it is time to re-evaluate my continuing to collect it.
I may change my forum name to Cobra Cruel Trooper and turn all of my collecting attention to the GI Joe line. I am far too retentive to be able to enjoy collecting the line knowing that there is a piece I will not be aquiring. And despite the fact that I could change that attitude, I simply have no desire to do that.

I can't really understand that mindset. Are you going to sell off all of your figures because you can't be a completist? Why not just get the stuff that you actually like and not worry about having a "complete" collection?

I am shocked that anyone is still a completist in this line.. yikes. That idea lasted about 10 figures for me.

Has SSC ever made an articulated creature? Jabba doesn't count, he's a full on character. But the "creatures" have always been accessories or now environments in this case. Bubo, Salacious, womprats, Timber the wolf, Sandstorm the coyote, etc.

The dewback is a glorified (and truly glorious, IMO) chair, but I'd take it over Cobra Commander or Palpatine's throne or Thrawn's chair in a heartbeat any day of the week. It looks incredible and the mixed media really puts it over the top.

Those of you happy with the dewback stormtrooper stand, would you be happy if they did banthas, tauntauns or a rancor in the same way?

The more I look at the pictures the more I want this awesome piece, it is a bit pricey but the GG one is going for $400 these days and this looks so much better. The pose looks great so I'm okay with this being a statue plus I have the three troopers to display this with. Should look awesome.

I'd love to get this one, but finances right now just won't allow it, I'll just have to drool in envy of you peeps who post your pics once this one comes out. sigh.

If Sideshow does a Rancor I'd prefer it to be Rotocast like Jabba. I could see this making more sense as Polystone due to the potential for it drooping over time with the weight of a figure on top of it.

That's the best looking dewback so far, the skin texture looks amazing, but have to agree with you guys about the price. Getting it nonetheless:monkey3

PS: You know what, I heading down to the beach right now to get some sand for the base.:panic:

I want one---Question---Is this the type of sand-trooper that they show in the movies with this beast?
This will be my first trooper--just want to make sure this isn't just another variant
