12" Indy In Adventure Gear: Raiders Version Discussion Thread

I got charged today without calling. Sadly I'm on the East coast so I'll get him early next week.

The great thing was combined I think GTG and Indy cost me something like $30 bucks total.

Hmmm... This looks really nice but I don't know if I should get this or the RAH Indy? This one is less pricey but is sold out where as the RAH requires much more $. Which do you guys think I should get?

I highly recommend the Sideshow Indy over the Medicom one! I am not a "Medicom basher" and I like their products. But I just prefer Sideshow's with the great Trevor Grove Indy headsculpts, and all the great accessories. I think the Medicom Indy is also the older Indy from Crystal Skull. The Sideshow Indy is the younger Indy from Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

Go with Sideshow!

Sideshow's looks like Harrision Ford as he played Indiana Jones while Medicom's looks like someone other than Ford.

I cancelled mine in the end - I had trouble with its non-existant shoulders and its oversized head. The repaint has me excited again but the only real resemblance to Ford I see is in the hatless version which is redundant. Once I've seen the hatted version in a convincing repaint I may well change my mind...

The Medicom Indy encompasses the first 3 films there is a second one for ew KOTC that is not out yet. I think the likeness definatly loo really brought ouks like Harrison Ford.
Somae of the head here one posted an imgage of the head that had been repainted that really brought out the sculpt and it looked just like Harrison Ford.
I got mine for $100 though.You can find the regular SSC version through many online retailers for $90 or less , if your a Raiders fan go for the SSC version , plus it has better accessories.

If you want something that covers all 3 films get the Medicom. I will say this though unless you can find the Medicom for around what I paid for it the SSC
version is the better value.

You do realize the hatted and non-hatted sculpts are the exact same sculpt, right? Only difference is the hat.

And give pics of the Medicom Indy that I've seen, the SSC version will always be the better value

Speaking as somone who actually owns the Medicom RAH Indy, if you have to choose only one, I would go with Sideshow's. Medicom's is by no means as bad as some would have you believe, in fact I like it quite a bit, but Sideshow's definitely gives you more bang for your buck. Sideshow's has a better body and better sculpt and looks to have much nicer gear. Medicom's does have a removable hat, but Sideshow's has two heads and an extra hat. Medicom's does come with artifacts from all three films, which are pretty cool (though the fertility idol that comes with Sideshow's looks a lot better).

I hadn't planned on getting Medicom's, but I received it as a gift. I collect all things Indy, so it was a nice addition to my collection. I'm glad I got it but, if I hadn't, I would be going soley with Sideshow's.

Anyway, that's my two cents, for whatever it's worth.

As I said above I own the Medicom Indy as well. I think its a very good piece and am happy to own one , but I wouldn't have bought it , If I hadn't gotten it for a good price.

I would go with the SSC , pretty much for the better body, accesories and value.

Ebay will be loaded with these things in a few days so you should be able to get the Regular version for a good price and you have several e-tailers you can this from as well for a little less than $90.00

I wouldn't say there is a "debate", everyone pretty much has agreed that Sideshow's is better.
