Dude! I was compared to a CARNEY! Michael, how COULD you! :D Sure, I was born without a body (not even a brow) and I joined the circus when I was four, but that's just plain rude to make such assumptions.

LOL! Seriously, though, I really consider myself to to have a sense of humor about this kind of thing. (meaning my work) and I actually really appreciate a very objective look at the sculpt. All of the Sideshow Freaks here are very appreciative of it...(and what more could a guy want! it's great to have been able to be a part of bringing the doll to you guys) From a personal standpoint I'm more with Michael though. if I was looking at this as a collector, I'd have issues with it, to be honest. I won't point anything out. I will say my personal enjoyment comes from the almost comical fun one can have with the doll.

I've been reading ROTW for years and I always loved the photos and in depth reviews. I'm happy to have something up there, and to receive a *** rating for my work. that's sweet! thanks for looking close Michael.

ps- here's a shot of the sculpt as it left me. not my best work, but I still like her! I dunno why she's so hard to capture.

Trevor's sculpt IS immaculate. Not his fault the Buck body makes it look too big. I'd kill for a long-haired Sarah.

Many of us here are Artisans too and WE know what we're talking about. I can understand some critiques about the paints apps, but the Sculpt?

Totally a blown call by Michael IMO. We Love it Dude! Bravo Trev!

Judging by those unpainted shots, I'm not sure how it could possibly look any more like Linda Hamilton.

Where are people getting replacement boots from? A link, and or name of them, would really help me.

Any ideas on where to get just the hat?

Thanks in advance.

You've got an excellent and very healthy attitude toward your work, Trev. Being able to keep you and your work separate is never easy, and always harder for artists.

For everyone else, I stand by my comments. Yes, Trev's original sculpt is very nice...but I don't own that. What I own is an output that is dependent on more than merely his talent. Yes, it's not his fault that the head is still too big on the body, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter. The nose on his prototype isn't nearly as wide as the one out of the die, and that's not his fault either...but that's what I own. You'll also notice if you were paying attention, that the hands contribute to the Sculpt score. Again, it might not have anything to do with Trev's original head sculpt, but it does matter.

I'm certainly looking forward to Trev's next sculpt.

I have to applaude Michael for sticking by his review. It is so easy for people to become "politically correct" and throw nothing but praise at certain companies or certain artist work. While the original sculpt is really nice I didn't feel it was dead on, and the production head only exaggerated what wasn't quite right on the original. I'm buying one, but will be looking for a replacement head down the road.

Yeah, there are definitely some pieces I've done that it'll hurt when the harsh comments come rolling in, but...I mean, I can't concentrate on that. (it's always hard to look away, of course) we spend many many many hours doing this stuff, and you just have to believe that the next one will be better because of it.

but, seriously, now....I think I may have to become a drinking man because of this. lol! (more coffee, please)

There is no need for a replacement head. That sculpt is dead-on. Michael is smoking crack. How could anyone improve on that sculpt? That's Linda Hamilton. Paint-aps are something else entirely and we all know Sideshow's factory paints never do justice to a superb sculpt like Trevors. I'm not blowing smoke up his ass either. You all know how critical I am around here. That sculpt is fine. The body sucks. It makes the head look too big. Swap it with a Cy-girls body like Mookey did and the neck and arms will look better proportioned with the head. I challenge anyone who thinks they can do better.

Excuse me, I didn't realize I needed your permission to do whatever I want with my collection. You like the sculpt, great. I don't, so I'll deal with it by getting one made that I do like. So often people forget that this stuff is all fairly subjective, so there isn't a "right" or "wrong". You would think something like an actor's portrait would be straight forward, but I've seen a lot of praise for sculpts that do nothing for me, and sculpts that I thought were great dissed. It all boils down to what you like and what you don't. Just because someone doesn't agree with you or see things your way, doesn't mean they are smoking crack. Your impassioned response suggest you may be into crack of a different kind, but I wont go there.
