Excuse me, I didn't realize I needed your permission to do whatever I want with my collection. You like the sculpt, great. I don't, so I'll deal with it by getting one made that I do like. So often people forget that this stuff is all fairly subjective, so there isn't a "right" or "wrong". You would think something like an actor's portrait would be straight forward, but I've seen a lot of praise for sculpts that do nothing for me, and sculpts that I thought were great dissed. It all boils down to what you like and what you don't. Just because someone doesn't agree with you or see things your way, doesn't mean they are smoking crack. Your impassioned response suggest you may be into crack of a different kind, but I wont go there.

So go take a crack at your own headsculpt if you think you can do better.:D

Oh blissful irony. If you interpret Dave's post to say that YOU personally shouldn't do it - then shouldn't we all interpret your post as telling the rest of us what WE should do. It was an opinion, just as yours was. And opinions are like *******s - everyone has one.

I chuckle everytime someone throws an opinion out, then fires up when it is criticised. Free speech means you can say what you want, as long as you're prepared to be confronted with opposing point of views.

If you don't want an opposing view, have the conversation with the figure instead of on a forum ;-)

I'm still waiting for my Sarah but we all know that a great sculpt can be ruined in multiple ways - Willow wasn't a bad sculpt but the production sucked, and we've seen repaints show how good some sculpts really are. I'll hold judgement on the sculpt till I see some repaints to see if the problem is the sculpt (and from Trev's pics it would seem not) or the paint.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I specifically said that I didn't like it, and that I would deal with my issues in my way. I never said or implied that anyone else should follow my lead. I find it ironic that you feel you have to defend the comments of your fellow "crusader". If you think message boards defend the constitutional right of free speech you are delusional. More often than not disagreeing with the established clique of posters on any given forum will get you flamed or banned. I usually keep my mouth shut when topics come up like this, but I felt the initial review needed some support as you don't often see someone in that position man up and give a straight forward review.

I'm not a sculptor but I have one lined up to do several replacement heads for me. I have all the confidence in the world that I'll get what I'm looking for.

You did however interpret a general comment as saying that YOU personally shouldn't do something and then proceeded to take great offence.

That's all I was saying, a point you obviously missed judging by your response.
