12" Shipping

Ok not to start debates or arguments, but who here thinks the 12" line will stay true to their shipping dates. the PF almost always get delayed, but they are more detailed and intricate. Now the 12" line is finally getting full swing and now that anakin is shipping Obi Wan is supposed to start shipping at the end of next month. Do you guys think sideshow can keep up with the dates or will there be some delays made?? (lets not forget there are many other products and lines they have to work on also)

There will definatly be delays (they have all ready started pushing them back) but to be honest it doesn't really matter to me that much. We will end up getting everyone even if it is a month late.

Delays will inevitable!! But I do think that just because of shear quantitiy of the 12", SS will find a way to be on schedule with the releases. (I have faith in you SS):chew

I can live with delays as long as the quality stays up. We've endured months of delays on the NECA Balrog.

Yes, there will be delays. There already have been. I have been saying this for a while. Obi-Wan and Kit Fisto were originally supposed to ship in June. Now, it is just Obi-Wan, and we haven't gotten a 20-25 day notice for him yet. June is already upon us.

However, I am fine with it as long as they can keep the quality up, including paint jobs! Now, if I can just get my Anakin shipping notice...

Not to hijack this thread but when I first read the title of this thread (12" Shipping), I thought that the topic was about the shipping boxes being used for the 12" figures, specifically the lack of protection in the tight fitting shipping box. I hope that will be taken care of soon, especially with the special figure boxes being used on the SW line.

If they change the boxes for the 12" shipping do something so the catalog can come with them. I pretty much pre-order figures I want and neither PF's nor 12" seem to come with catalogs.

can you request specail packaging for shipment?? i wouldnt mind paying a few extra dollars to ensure that my box isnt mutilated upon arrival. thats a good point thanks for bringing it up i got my Luke from a second-hand vendor so it was in a big outer box with tons of bubblewrap.

~~with the delays-- its understandable for quality control reasons. i know the grievous PF has been delayed many times. but the 12" line shouldnt be that much of a problem until they get to painting them. a couple weeks is reasonable, but if everything starts getting behind a month or two i would seriously freak out because that would push them back to conflict some other pre-orders i have. i just like to spread out the charges accordingly, but when i have a couple hit at the same time it seriouly leaves an impact.

It will take some doing to beat the delay on Alex Krycek - was close to 12 months from pre-order to arrival on my doorstep.

Delay's no problem. In fact, pretty welcome, since most of the latest 12-inches (LOTR & SW) and some PF's are scheduled for third quarter. Can you imagine the impact on your bank account?!

I dont mind delays to much.....I just get crazy when others start getting theirs and I dont have mine ....but over all delays to which we all suffer are ok.

Delays are inevitable, I wouldn't be surprised if some characters got bumped and other's shipped before them. But I wouldn't count on seeing any SW 12" the month of June.

Exactly my thoughts as well..... It doesn't bother me too much as long as it all does not bunch together. And as long as others are suffering with me..

I received my Reg and Excl Anakin today. The Excl was OK thankfully but the Reg box was super smashed. The figure is OK, I am not going to resell it so I am not real upset, but come on SS!...if it had been the Excl I would have been major mad. Please oh please put them in a larger outer box. The box is so cool in this line. It is a shame to ruin a piece of artwork like that.

Aww man, Obi-Wan is the figure I'm most looking forward to, I'd rather be getting him than Anakin. Ah well, if delays are the way to making sure quality is high I can live with it.

I got my Anakin today, I really wish the figures face looked more like the one on the box but otherwise it's a nice figure. Oh and I got my first premium figure in the mail today too, Darth Vader I lub you. Now I need them all
