I guess knowing that those characters are indeed in the works is what gives me an edge though, and allows me to not be as bummed out by the pace of their announcements.

I sympathize with Poogle, as I'm not a big EU fan either. But the above quote from Andy has lifted my hopes as well. And as decadentdave posted earlier in the thread, I'd really like to get most of the main OT characters before I croak...

If Chewy was 7' 6", which I believe is pretty damn close, he's be 15" in 1/6 scale.

The GG statue is 1/6 and he's 15" in that.

That's what scares me most about Chewie in 1/6 form. I have a feeling the production PF would be outstanding, but I get worried about a 1/6 prototype looking GREAT and then the production piece falling short. Chewie will either be hit or miss with that fur. I don't think there is an acceptable level of fall off for this figure. If it "falls off" it may look like crap.

This is one figure yes that there is not much room for error. I think that's why SS is gonna take all the time it needs to make sure he is done with as few as errors as possible. :chew

I believe Hurricane made a very realistic real-hair (shag) Chewie. I've only seen a few pics of it. Please post some more so we can see. It's the best example of how Chewie should be made in 1:6 scale.:chew

No problem. I introduced Mark to Hurricane and he got one too (Mark's last Chewbacca). Anyway, I just emailed Mark about the interest here on this derailed thread so maybe he'll make an appearance.

I don't understand any of the negativity said here in this thread. Asajj looks great so far from what we've seen and I'll likely preorder her since I like the character.
Sideshow will without doubt get to all the major characters from the first two films in time, so just sit back and be patient, stop putting down something others like and putting down others for liking stuff from the EU.
