I wonder if sh'es based off someone.

Who would you like to see characters like Thrawn based on? Raul Julia would make an interesting Thrawn, as would Chris Walken.

Samual L. Jackson as one bad ass blue Muthaph*cka!!! :):lol

A Walken Thrawn would be cool. I would definitely go for a Gary Oldman Thrawn, sucks he was close to being the voice of Grievous.

Gary Oldman looking-thrawn would be most excellent (sorry, possessed by Bill S. Preston for a secodn there!). I never really have any particular likeness in mind wheen I read a book, but at the rate Sideshow is going, I'd even be happy to get a Xizor figure (though in the far-flung future...far away...long time from now...)

It's foreplay, man! Luke and Han are just a taste of the main event. And there are three marvelous ROTJ figures already on pre-order. Six, if you count the troopers.

No joke, people are screaming for OT but we just had 4 (or 6) OT characters in a row.

Are you kidding? It's Sideshow Dusty! :p (Or maybe the fabulous Amy in customer service:chew ...hey, it's a happy thought anyway!)

Seriously...looks good. I like the realistic approach...she'll look cool shadowing Dooku (still one of the best Hasbro SW figures ever). It's hard to tell but...do the sabers hook together?

It's also interesting that the first three female characters Sideshow is offering us are...well-covered. (Leia/Boussh, Snowbunny Padme and now Assaj). Guess they are not quite ready to tackle some exposed feminine flesh yet...

A guy named Mark out of Chicago. He lurks on these boards from time to time. I just talked to him a few nights ago and he was thinking about maybe getting back into it and making another Chewie or two.

For those that remember, this is mine:

As this Asajj thread somehow also became the Chewie thread earlier...

For those that are interested and have PM'd me for info, the same guy who made my Chewbacca above has one up on eBay. Same base figure, same hairing, same creator.

Heh, already bidding... I just fear what this will reach and wish I could just buy it outright. Oh well, I will try my hardest and keep in mind I have a 1,000 limit still left to my CC.

Hmmmm, the one on ebay looks different. Did you futz or trim the hair on your chewie?

edit - and I plan to win this auction!

I was born ready, no need to get ready. :maul That Chewie is a work of art, and while Im curious as to what the reserve is I will sell organs to get this figure. lol Also, apparently it's been confirmed that Asajj's sabers WILL connect!

My only real fear is buying the Chewie at some ridiculous price and then a week later SS anounces their 12" real fur Chewie of same quality for $75. :lol

Even if SS annouced their Chewie tomorrow in the newsletter I still want this one simply because it looks cool. I love art and this custom, along with something hurricane and I are working out, to me DEFINE art. It is taking something to the next level and I won't mind dropping $250 to $300 if need be.

Yes I did. Took me a day or two -- not working the whole time of course, just letting the gel/hairspray dry, etc. You can futz the hair easily to make it your own. Shape the brows, the chin, whatever. It can be tedious but well worth the effort.

Sorry for derailing this Asajj thread.

Not bad, but Wor-Gar's looks better.

I'll wait for SS's.

but it is amusing watching ebay bidding wars. People always overpay what something is worth.
