Word has it that the production paint job on this is "much better" than that we've seen on the prototype.

That would actually, to me, be mindboggling because the portrait paint apps on the protos have stunned me, I've seen Portman in it from bare sculpt to painted proto. If they've done even better than that, I'll be blown away. I still have her on order, getting anxious to get her and see what kind of personalized look I can get with the figure.

Ya, I'm keeping her JB. I'm not sure how the overall figure will sit with me, though with CW Obi-Wan now, I can think of some fun graphical options, and I'm sure at the very least, they're round out the trifecta with a CW Anakin, at least I hope so, but that Portman portrait is just perfect to me, I can't resist owning it.
It'll be interesting to see how quick we get it, as the numbers on this board seem lower than they used to be for kept orders.

Hope she shows up before all the snow melts! May have to head up to the mountains to get some decent "Ilum" shots...
Just wait a few days we'll get more, actually I believe there's something coming in this weekend, not sure what expected accumulation is, but at this point in New England winter, an inch just feels like 1 too many haha.
I hope someone (Toy Anxiety or on eBay) parts some out as I really would like an extra head to make a custom Evey Hammond figure.

I cancelled mine. I'm waiting on a better outfit Padme to come along. Either a gown or the AOTC Arena version, or even baby-bump Padme. Although I am anxious to see the portrait. The sculpt looked like it'd be pretty good if not for the paint.
You still getting the entire Illum figure or you just looking for the figure head?

just a head's up. if you're a fan of the packaging, beware of the secondary market. even though illum doesn't have an exclusive, you may consider purchasing from ss. you may pay a bit more but you get the points and a guaranteed mint box. after purchasing a few non-exclusives with bad shelf wear not included in the description, i've given up. of course, if you open immediately and you don't care, go for it!
