I'm also at Item Shipping Soon. It seems like we have always seen pictures of the final product before shipping. Am I wrong? Maybe I have always had things ship out a little later.

Most of the time, the newest pictures come as it's shipping because Sideshow just takes one out of the box when the load comes in, and sometimes there are delays getting the images up on the site even when they have them. So most of the time you don't see their pictures until it's shipping, but people have also come to accept that those photos are often a rough idea of what you're getting, but between your own home/photo lighting and the ability to manipulate the costume how you'd like instead of how the SSC photographer does it, in hand looks better. We MAY see Padme updated photos in the newsletter tonight, but with all the goings on for Toy Fair, I'm somewhat expecting a Toy Fair recap newsletter, mention the new bodies, Obi-Wan's PPO and the likes, but maybe they'll work her into the bit about the Obi-Wan with something like, "and while you're Pre-Ordering the Clone Wars General Kenobi, get your name on the Illum Padme Wait List as she'll be shipping in the next few days and checkout the updated production images." Of course, if they feel the final product matches the photos up right now, they may not update them, they often don't when the shipping item and product page images match, like Kit Fisto, Big Fortuna, Plo Koon.

The more I look at her, the better it looks. Other than the oddly shaped female Buck body showing loud and proud through her costume, this shot would look awesome.

Hopefully, her costume has some give and is easy to open to help smooth out the areas where the body shows.

I genuinely like the figure. I think she's a great addition and will look great next to General Kenobi and Asajj. Not to mention that the sculpt is perfect and since SSC uses revolving sculptors the next Padme offering may not be as spot on.

Well I know plenty of people disagree with me on this, but for what little change happened with Portman's face from TPM to ROTS, I think they should just use this portrait as the basis of every Padme since it's bald, they can add hair to it or like the TPM costumes, make elaborate head pieces and then the ball head just slips in no sweat. I feel like this portrait is totally a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" scenario, and by being a bald sculpt, it would be so easy to just build any other portrait off if it.

Good call, that was a Shrek quote about Puss In Boots, I love Mike Myers, very funny guy.

I guess I missed these shots, looks better... still not great. Also, for me I think its just such a non-SW looking outfit that it doesn't fit well.

Looks great in the cartoon, not so much on a self.

I'm excited and curious at the same time on this piece. Just going off pics right now and what I saw @ SDCC. The sculpt is a 10 but the rest is a 6-7 making the figure like a 7.5 or so.
