Price guides are so ridiculously out of touch. Those prices make me

go to ebay and look those issues up using the completed auctions search for their actual value.

Absolutely true. Sad to say, but just about the only 'real' value anymore is eBay value...

Honestly collecting took a serious value hit with the emergence of ebay! It eliminated the search and so lowered the value. Now rare is defined as the global total of an item as opposed to the "local" availability.

Also didn't help that they made 10 different covers for each dang issue.

I have around 15000 in my garage. I give them to kids on halloween. I've also got hundreds of early spawn figures. My kids open them up and play with them. All cool stuff but worth nada.
