:google WOW, what do you know a problem with the trivia answers.

The scandle, it's dejavu all over again..........

Ahh I remeber last year like it was yesterday, what were sam and rosies kids names again, how many ringwraiths attacked the hobbits on weathertop, where did Arwen give the Evenstar to Aragorn.......

That's the reason I took no part in the trivia this year. I am glad everyone enjoyed it who did though. One less person to compete with anyway so I guess I did you all a favor.

Your welcome...... :D

I'm sorry that you are upset, but it clearly states on the form (in bold orange font):

'don't include punctuation, extra spaces, etc.'

I can't feel bad for you if you didn't read the directions and got in a big hurry. :peace I hope you at least had a little bit of fun participating... and btw, our form accepts one entry PER EMAIL ADDRESS *hint hint* (not that I'm encouraging people to sign up for TOO many sock puppet emails addies, but I don't think it'd be THAT big a deal if you wanted to try one more time... ;) )
Yeah, that bold orange writing helped in me figuring out what the problem was, but it cost me time. Being in a big hurry was the whole point of the contest, but I'm a very slow typist so it probably helped in my anxiety. :acme
Thanks for the help! I thought if I used a different email to enter, both would be disqualified; but I guess that computer likes to overlook that sort of thing.
I had a bit of fun in the challenge of finding the answers, but because I worked late this past week; I didn't get much sleep trying to enter every one. :sleep

I think most of us are suffering a bit of sleep depravation at the moment - I guess that's a traditional part of Spooktacular! :sick I wasn't here last year for it, so this was my first experience with something as intensive as this - I must say that, for all the extra work it entailed, I had a huge blast - and it's still not *quite* over yet :wacky

Buffy banner up, I believe it's a repeat

3 Buffy figures for $75! Purchase this item [Vamp Willow] for $25 and receive 12 inch Master and 12 inch Vampire Spike for only $25 each!

As an aside, on the topic of controversial trivia. You can add the halloween candy question to that as well. I know there were several of us who found the reference listing candy corn as no.1 in the US in 2004. Go figure :D

So, you've all argued your case convincingly, and I've taken it to the Mistress for final say, and she has relented on this particular question (which doesn't happen very often!) - if you have answered EITHER of the 2 dates in question (one in catalog, one on the site) as the final answer for the trivia question, your name will be among those from which the runners-up will be drawn from (as long as you've got the license correct as well, of course :D).

The Grand Prize winner still stands, as he was the first to answer either of the two dates in question PLUS have the complete correct license listed. And we apologize that so much confusion was caused by the question :peace

Honestly, why the hell are you guys complaining?? Did it cost you something to enter? Did you LOOSE anything?? No! Dusty and the rest of the Sideshow team have been working their BUTTS OFF to make us happy and they are doing their best and hardest to make this fun. If this keeps up, they are not going to want to do this stuff anymore. I wouldn't blame them if they stop either. Why do these nice things for us if they are going to get nothing but **** back in return???

I just want to say THANK YOU to the Sideshow Team for a very fun past few days. I have enjoyed it very much

WOW Dusty, I'm impressed.

Actually, I came back over here to really praise the SS customer service. I just noticed that a couple of my Spooktacular orders have started processing and I was authorized for the correct amount with the special shipping charges :banana :banana. This is awesome since last year I remember many orders had to be credited back after the fact. Great job guys :banana :banana

And to reinforce the comments above. I really appreciate SS and all of it's staff, especially Dusty, Marc, and Chicky this year for putting up with everything and pulling off an outstanding event!!!! I have to admit I get very amused by the trivia controversy, but I can't see people getting that upset over it.

I had a blast guys :D

I haven't seen anyone attack SS or give them a really hard time this year unlike last year (LOTRG anyone  ). There was a little frusteration about the banners not being the same as last year (my personal thing as well, to me hovering over my computer for free things on the top of every hour was a huge adreniline rush and the best part of last year. I would love for them to do it like that again next year). People will get a little heated in the midst of competition especially when they spent the better part of a week of their life trying to win somehting only to be let down at the end by not even being considered for the prize due to an error (granted an innocent one and they made amends like only Sideshow would) by the very company putting on the contest. It almost doesn't even matter what the competition is about. Every one of the people that got frusterated about certain things still love Sideshow and what they do for it's customer base. Last year it was one thing this year it's another. People have opinions and no matter if you agree with them or not, in a place like this your going to hear them. Not everyone subscribes to "if you don't have anythign nice to say then don't say anything at all" way of doing things.

I know we all appreciate SS and their hardwork this last week, and I really don't think they will nor should you take the constructive criticism, frusterated feelings, or even things bordering on negative said by the few of us the felt that way as a personal attack.

I saw this comment earlier - where's the other date on the site? (not in the catalog, which includes the PDF download because that's technically a download, not a web page). I'm only seeing one and I've searched and searched (you can PM me so that you don't give the answer away to those who have not completed the contest yet). Seriously, I'm starting to think that there's just no such thing as a Sideshow contest without controversy :google (BTW, we received over 300 entries in the first 2 hours! I'm happy that it was a popular contest, at least :banana)

PM sent, and thanks for the contests! :banana :peace

Sorry guys, I'm a noob. What's this about?

It was my lucky/unlucky night. First, I won a Collector's Edition of Saruman from pordey, :) and then I won a PJ as Corsair in chat, :) but since I already had one, because I had just bought one, :banghead I had to give him back :( so someone else could win. Winning was fun. :) Even if I lost.

They said a polystone shirt, but I have one of those too. :) Bought it and got a free arms set, or was it the other way around? LOL. Still, I had a great time. :) All the contests were fun, and the giveaways in chat were terrific. Who knows? Maybe I'll be one of those 3 runners-up. "A good time was had by all."
