I was surprised by the Japan win as Cameroon had some great players.

Eto'o was completely in the wrong position though.
He should have been up front banging goals in, just like he did when he played for the mighty Barca

Defending time too! And for that rude comment I hope the Lakers win! :pfft:

Defending that's fine, don't thing you'll go far this time and let me remind you last WC of all the teams the Italians played they couldn't beat the USA team(1-1 draw I believe).

Hey I wasn't being rude that's the truth! the Italians are the football kings of diving.

Well, I am American and I do hold the American team above the Azzurri. If memory serves I think the Azzurri only allowed two goals in the WC in 2006... One to the US and one to the French. Pretty impressive, really.

I'm not under the assumption that Italy will go far this year, but the same was said in 2006, so who knows??

BTW, I was joking the rude comment... We'll see plenty of diving in the next month, and not all by the Italians. :lol

In 1986, I was about 16 and I was in Argentina when they won the cup. The day they flew home it was televised all over and I saw the players on TV get off the plane and board buses, etc. etc. Later that morning I went shopping with my parents in a city called Lanus (Maradona's birthplace, as is mine). My parents and I were walking on the sidewalk when suddenly there was a HUGE commotion , police sirens, people screaming., the works. I looked up and there slowly coming down the road, were the same buses I had seen earlier on TV. The entire Argentine team hanging from the windows waving and screaming at the crowds, showing everyone the trophy! I still get goose bumps till this day when I think about that.

That is an awesome story!!! Did you see Maradona waving???
