Not man enough to come out and admit his mistake, both sets of players were pulling and pushing at that FK no way could he give a FK either way and it didn't look like anyone was offside.

that's the worst thing about it. if there's a decision, there HAS TO BE A DISCLOSED REASON! maybe that ear piece he was wearing was patched through to violent bookies betting against the US that had kidnapped his family, instead of the assistant refs. maybe he had to make a spot jack bauer style decision. that's the only situation i can think of that would make this ok.

I've just been watching the matches in the morning and was totally pissed that U.S. had their win taken away by the stupid ref. I was watching it and trying to figure WTF the goal was taken away for. They should tie the ref up to a pole and let the U.S. players have a kickoff against him.
