This thread ____ing sucks because the OP had to use a photo reference from an Emmerich movie, and his worst one at that (never saw 10,000 BC).

Not cool! :mad::mad:

:lol That's all Emmerich knows how to make! 2012 movies!

This ones getting locked for sure!! Lol! No this year will not be the end, could see horrible things happen though.

Yeah I think before the year ends there will be a big earthquake or tsunami or something,

TheMayans didn't predict the end of the world. The calendar has reset three times in the past, and it's just supposed to indicate a radical change, not total destruction.

The Mayans had an extremely complicated method of keeping track of time, based on three separate calendars. The most important, most encompassing of these calendars holds the Long Count, the period from the beginning until the end of time. And on December 21st 2012, the Long Count expires. It will be point zero. Time will be up for the Universe. It will be, literally, the end of days.

21-12-2012 is not a day like any other. Up in the sky, a rare event will take place. The Sun will move to a unique spot in the sky, and hold still for a while, since it is solstice day. The Sun will sit precisely on the heavenly crossroads between the Milky Way and the galactic equinox, forming a perfect alignment with the center of the galaxy.

I'd have more faith in the Mayans ability to predict the future had they killed the Spanish the moment they set foot on shore.

they did predict it, According to a Mayan prophecy just before Columbus’s arrival to America, “a white skinned shiny gods come from the sea and they will end our civilization” was predicted. they thought because of their armors they were gods so they didn't know.

Maybe that spotting of Hitler in Dublin and the 2012 end of the year theories aren't coincidental! :lol :panic: Hitler is having a comeback!

That's a scene from a movie.

I sometimes think people who keep talking about doomsday are hoping in their hearts that it will happen.

There's nothing anyone can do about it if it does happen, so why keep bringing it up?

I thrive in situations where panic and hostility take place. As a kid, I remember I loved disaster drills or the thought of having to take shelter and live held up somewhere for days/months to survive. I'd be the first one going against the wall with my head up my ass when a drill started. :lol

Needless to say, I'm ready, but I think being able to witness "an end" is just too good to be true. I think this "2012 Mayan" is crap but I do think we're on the verge of destruction. I don't think it will be BAM, that's it, we're done but something less simple. I imagine there will be tons of agony and suffering from wars and ____. Just an era of morbid garbage.

Sorry, but.......:thud:

First you say they don't predict the end of the world, then you say it means the end of days. Isn't that the same thing?

By the way the galactic equinox happened 26,000 years ago as well, so it's nothing new to Earth.

Something is coming..Bank on it.

(might not be this year though, but were for sure heading to an end of life as we know it)
