No. He was overrated. He stacked up yards against mediocre teams and when he finally played a big boy team he got handled. Just as the whole LSU team did.
Fournette was snubbed for the Heisman, as expected. In college football, it pays to play well toward the end of the season rather than early on in multiple ways. But the real shame of it all is that Fournette was a victim of his O-line's bad play and bad coaching toward the end of the season. He's also victim to a game cancelled due to weather. He has more yards per game than Henry, who will probably win. Oh, well. The system is biased toward offensive skill position players anyway. I don't follow college football all that closely, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the best player was really an O-lineman or a defensive back.
