I sure hope the next goal is 12k and not some ridiculous stretch like 15k. A lot of carbonite block speculation out there right now.
Almost every single star wars vehicle hasbro has put out is under scaled. Including the barge, which is also very very under scaled.
Even something already small like a speeder bike is somewhat under scaled. Its about balancing cost, space and playability. As well as scaling with ther other vehicles (which are not one uniform scale. A speeder bike is less under scaled than the sail barge is)
On the big Millennium falcon for example, the figures are bigger than the doorways. Its very under scaled as well.
The reason they don't often feel so sma is because they're generally just big enough to feel big enough. Especially in comparison to other vehicles.
That?s all fine for the majority of fans BUT going forward Hasbro should offer the vehicles in different scales all the way up to accurate scale for those that want it.
Want proper scale no problem show us the money its going to cost you.
Want wimpy wanna be scale here you go $350 lol
But it also comes down to how many people will buy a 6ft long Razor Crest and other vehicles. I dont think they would sell that many. The size of the one we we are getting is pushing it a bit honestly.
I still wish they'd make a correctly scaled Skiff. The figures look cramped even on the new one.
A proper scale Desert Skiff would be pretty manageable - maybe you wouldn't put it next to the Barge if you wanted to maintain a somewhat accurate relative scale between vehicles but as an independent display it'd be great. Luke could swing his lightsaber and not accidentally decapitate Han Solo.
The Landspeeder and Tantive IV Escape Pod would be other good candidates.
I still haven't got my display cabinets sorted yet.
Neither have I. Not sure I ever will. If I'm going IKEA the stuff I'm looking at is only partially in stock at any given time and that puts me off. Then I end up changing my mind about stuff anyway - about the arrangement, about the type of shelves, can't even decide on the colour of shelves I want. All they seem to have is white for certain stuff but white bores me...and ultimately it turns yellow anyway
Jack Black headsculpt inside that Biker helmet. Funny as we discuss stuff that's over or under scale.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the detolf display so I majorly went down the BESTA rabbit hole - faux-wood to start with, then white. For BESTA I actually think white helps because I have so much stuff in them it gets kind of dark toward the back without lights on if it's anything but white.
I also like white for SW because so much of it is earthy colors (stormies, snowies and Luke farmboy the exceptions) that stuff gets a bit lost without the brighter white background color.
We are planning a redo of some rooms anyway so I may finally put up a few more $ and get some professionally built display cabinetry.
Problem for me is that I don't like having SW stuff visible all the time - I like the ability to close it off so nothing is visible, then opening some doors and everything is visible. I find it keeps the excitement level up - you get used to it otherwise and it can also become visual pollution - 6" and 4" stuff especially.
