Anything fishy here? Any reason to think this extra step would impact my ability to get a refund if the package never arrives which, after doing a search on SpeedPak, is a possibility? :lol

They just wanted to save money on shipping sounds like; hopefully that’s all there is.

It would’ve been easier to send you a worthless item through whatever means to try to prove something was delivered in an actual scam which is one of the most common methods. They also probably would’ve pushed back against PayPal goods and services in the first place.

Did they update the PayPal transaction with the SpeedPak shipping info? I don’t think SpeedPak is very trackable so the package might go dark for a while.

If it doesn’t show up within the 180 days, as long as all the steps are documented then you can open a case and submit all your back and forth communication to PayPal.

No, not yet. That'll be after we go through with the $1.00 ebay transaction that lets him print the Speedpak label.

This is the seller by the way.

Yeah that's what I read. And apparently it's bottom priority once it reaches destination postal services. I worry that a small, light packet such that this will be could easily just get lost.

Well, all the emails and paypal receipt emails will be there.

Alright, thanks for the response MyenShi.

Document the eBay messages as well.

SpeedPak is extremely low priority and if you feel it’s a concern, you could offer to pay the seller more for shipping through a better service. You also wouldn’t have to do the weird $1 eBay transaction.

Hopefully everything turns out alright regardless. Sounds like you’re being careful so you should be fine.

Yeah, and my card company might block a $1.00 transaction.

I've sent him an enquiry about a more trackable shipping method.
