If you open your figures, the Force Link 2.0 Vader is the exact same as the Galaxy of Adventures one, so no need to track that one down. He's fairly hard to find unfortunately.

Lol I bought one on ebay for $15 cause Im a sucker for carded Vader figures

Yeah, I thought he was the same. But I too have a compulsion to buy every Vader figure.. I don't open them anymore (3 3/4") and just keep them carded, so I still want to pick one up eventually. If it's one I want to open I'd buy 2 I guess.

Jesus Malgus...look at the sentiments everyone else is expressing except you.

From the very beginning of this you have seemed to downright relish the fact that people outside the US were excluded. You have really enjoyed this fact. You could stay silent about it but you don't. It reeks of begrudgery and it comes across in every one of your posts. You're at it on rebelscum aswell.

And you're this anti-Trump guy? Could have fooled me.

By the way, thanks everyone else.

I don't relish the fact that people in other countries didn't get to order the barge. I have a problem with people ignoring the fact that Hasbro is in business to make money and would never just ignore other countries unless the business case didn't make sense. I get the impression some people think Hasbro somehow owes them a barge and should get it to them even by selling it at a loss.

Back in the summer of 1980, I had just seen Empire Strikes Back, and was obsessed wit the AT-ATs. I never thought Kenner would make a full sized one for their action figures, so I made my own out of a shoebox, cardboard and margarine bowls. The legs were articulated, and figure could sit in the head and body. I wish I kept it.

Aaannnd none of that applies to me.

I've been pretty clear about my particular complaint - the mere fact that, at all stages, I was denied the opportunity to order a Barge from them - even when they did decide on a way to sell the Barge overseas (which presumably isn't causing them a loss). They would not let me give them the money to supply me with one of their products that I wanted. I would have paid directly to them the money required.

I hope you get your barge in Ireland, a-dev. You seem a lot more excited about it than I was when it arrived in it's human-sized box.

I hope somehow you end up getting one of these for retail or close a-dev. It's always good to see a true fan get to really enjoy something like this.

Thanks guys.

You would think a saga like Star Wars, conveying such wonderful values, would only attract people with a minimum amount of empathy for their fellow fans/collectors. I guess some of us are just mercenaries, we can only Wonder if they care about anything... or anybody.

I like what you did there :D

Ah, naw Im talking about the one from the Rogue One line. The new one sports the same bucket, but has differently posed arms. I’ve been scooping those up as well, but they’re $10 each unfortunately. I think you may be thinking of the vintage line rogue one stormy though, and I dont think that one is out yet. And yes, I'll need like 20 of those lol

Rogue one version:

Nice proportions on that. And the plain stance is perfect for a ROTJ docking bay scene.

I'm amazed you still have a photograph of it.

I took 2 pictures of it, a pic of Yoda on a Tauntaun and my 12" Boba Fett... and got in a ****-load of trouble for 'wasting film'. lol

The board default settings should include Malgus on members' ignore list.

That is extremely awesome! It was great time to be a kid in 1980.

Really enjoying the pics of all your custom figures and pics, please keep em
coming!

Yeah it really is pretty much the best musem posed 3.75 stormy right now. He works well in any imperial display.

I came across these for $10 each at a local comic shop today, total score! They had like 5 more snowtroopers too, hopefully those are still there next time i stop in!

Hasbro make terrible business decisions all the time.

They got it massively wrong with the Barge.

This was what fans who pay the rrp for Star Wars toys wanted. Not the endless supply of shody 5poa and poorly constructed mid range vehicles that they cannot shift in discount stores.

Had the Barge been available as an order in collectors shops they would have sold far more. I understand the size made them weary, but this has been in demand for 30 years or more.

400 to the rest of the world is an insult.

They should have treated it like a PO in the 1/6th world; and build it based on demand — that would have been the way to go. Missed opportunity on their part.

You don't know Hasbro's business more than them. If they don't think something will make them money then they won't do it. Yeah it sucks for people who don't get it but Hasbro is a business not charity. If someone is really determined to get one they still could. If I could not get one I would have certainly jumped on one of the bbts ones. I would not be sitting on my butt demanding Hasbro get me one for $500 and not a penny more that some are doing.

The problem is the rest of the world would not want to pay the cost. I see people complaining about paying the taxes and extra shipping costs. People are too entitled what you are talking about to work. I always saw Americans as a bunch of entitled spoiled brats but it seems like the rest of the world has their share of those people.

A) Good for you. I assume you're in America and as such would not have had massive shipping and customs fees to pay on top of BBTS's markup. So you essentially would have paid what I would have paid if Hasbro had allowed me the option of buying one from Hasbro Pulse ebay.

B) when the BBTS barges went up for sale we didn't know at that point exactly how few barges were available to the ''rest of the world'' or that so many countries would still be excluded. Hence why I personally gave it not more than 1 minute consideration. OF COURSE I was going to wait for the cheaper option.

To be fair though, even if I had known how the Pulse thing was going to pan out, I might well have passed on a BBTS Barge anyway given what the total cost was going to be. Base price + BBTS markup + massive shipping + customs - if memory serves it was going to be close to 2 grand (in Euros) when I worked it out.

Can you please cut all the entitled crap? I can't imagine any fan is sitting around on welfare demanding a free barge paid for by you. I think it's far more likely that every fan who's angry about the high cost of these things in the rest of the world is a hard working individual who doesn't want to hand the government a vast amount of money in customs charges or indeed pay Pitney ****ing Bowes a load of money for doing **** all. Money that I could spend in England is going to some American company that's basically creaming off a significant amount. On top of that Paypal are taking off a load of money in currency conversion ******** that is like some government rate in a third world hellhole. Much better if the money went to small UK businesses that sell toys, and Hasbro itself, so that they can reinvest in making more cool items.

Why the **** are you lecturing fans abroad and telling them they should be giving even more tax money to their governments? What are you, some kind of ****ing socialist?

As Han Solo might say he's a wonderful human being...but he loses me with the sneering tone he always has towards other people. It's a shame.

It’s one thing to contribute to the discussion of a thread and disagree but every post of his is drenched with nothing but disdain towards everyone even people he agrees with. Must be a sad strange little man and I pity him.

You would think a saga like Star Wars, conveying such wonderful values, would only attract people with a minimum amount of empathy for their fellow fans/collectors. I guess some of us are just mercenaries, we can only Wonder if they care about anything... or anybody.

My sentiments as well. I also recall the post made where it was stated by him that older fans of SW need to die off in order for discussions to improve for his convenience. That was the moment I sort of realized that this was demonstrably a troubled and likely miserable individual.

I wish I could say I had thicker skin to just ignore him, but it’s just shameful and unfathomable to me how one could be so fraught with hate and disdainful towards the human race in general, yet ironically, love superheroes and films that as was mentioned, convey positive values.

The ignore feature on this board to me isn’t really all that good, as it doesn’t just completely ignore that the ignored user made a post at all to where you can’t see they they ever posted. It still shows that they posted, but that you’re simply choosing not to show the content of the post. At that point to me, you might as well just show the content of the post so you can at least follow the dialogue, and then just choose to ignore/disregard it if you wish.

You are exactly the entitled people I am talking about. Hasbro most likely looked at the cost and decided it didn't make business sense to offer the barge to the entire world via the original crowd funding avenue. As a business they are entitled to make a profit. You are complaining like you are against a business making a decision that makes the most financial sense to them. Are you a communist? The taxes are required by whatever country you live in. Pay it and stop crying to hasbro about it like it's their responsibility. Lose the sense of entitlement and you will see Hasbro the business doesn't owe the planet a barge. Especially at $500.
