Thanks Captain Clown. I knew about the Vader (which I don't have yet but will buy a few eventually) but I had no clue that a viable 3.75 Emperor existed after POTF2 that didn't look like crap. Adding that one to list.

Personally I don't care that he can't sit because any of the softgoods figures of the past 20 years can do that. I've just wanted one that's more advanced in its detailing than POTF2 that can look good standing up.

Oh absolutely, they even have the waffle pattern stitching sculpted into his robes. It’s stupidly detailed.

Here’s my custom Emperor so far. It’s directly inspired by otcustoms2016 on Instagram’s Emperor. He does awesome stuff.

I found the new Mandalorian wave at Target in MI this morning!

lZL9nAX.jpg

To anyone using Brickseek to find these guys, don't. For some reason the Target inventory isn't showing up for them. Instead, a collector friend recommended "Pop Findr" to me, a site people use to track Pop figures at stores like Walmart and Target. It's essentially the same thing as Brickseek, but for some reason it works way, way better. It can also be used for anything in store I think, not just Pops.

Here's a link to the page you can find TVC at Target, I already put the number in so all you have to do is enter your ZIP code.

https://popfindr.com/inventory/target/087-16-2097

I checked this morning and it showed the Target I went to had eight, this makes sense because TVC are packed in eight pieces a case so if it gives the same number for you chances are they have a full case on the pegs or in the back.

Good luck! :)

And here's some pictures I took of Mando and Cara. Put in spoilers so I don't clog the page haha.

How deep are you guys in 3 3/4" and 6"? Always curious how collectors balance the $$ for all the various scales and product lines.

I've got a mixed vintage toy display that I keep in some built in cabinets separate from my premium format curio.

Nothing huge but I do plan on building a more sizable 3.75 inch collection. I also have a few modern vehicles like the Solo Falcon, RO AT-AT and both recent TVC X-Wings.

The inaccuracies on the storm trooper helmets never bugged me because I simply won?t notice it at my viewing distance. from the shelf where I have them mixed in with other figures and we are talking about 15-20% inaccuracy at most.

Especially at 3.75 hell I won?t even notice it at the 1/12 scale if I look at my shelf I know they are storm troopers that is what matters most.

Now I can see 1/6 being where you can start seeing the problems and being annoyed at them because of the high cost.

I could never build one of those trooper model kits hell no lol

Back a few years ago I had a bunch of S.H. Figuarts but bailed and sold off all of it -- I preferred the look of 1/6 and wanted to reduce visual clutter.

Because it's unique and fun I do own a DC Collectibles BTAS Batmobile and Bats, and will likely pick up the odd 6" piece here and there over the years if it's stylized and/or exceptionally well done, but I'll never have much if my current non-1/6, single piece is any indication.

3.75" is a spectator sport for me, but I may actually buy the Black Series 6" snowspeeder because it looks so well done. That's it.

Argh - I sold my "modern redo" battle cat recently. Loved that thing too. The vintage is pretty iconic.

But wow - I had a really huge 3 3/4" collection then got hit hard by 1/6 then along came 6" and I started with that, then pulled away, now I'm in a muddle - still super high on 1/6 but so much amazing 3 3/4" and 6" stuff coming. I will say though, I bought the new skiff and had a first time realization - that in-hand 3 3/4" didn't give me the buzz it once did, even though the vehicle was amazingly well done and I had most of the better figs to display on it.

I've still got all my fave 3 3/4" vehicles (which I consider to be like scale models) plus maybe 150 of the best 3 3/4" figures of the past 15-20 years, plus a bunch of dubious POTF2 stuff that is in a box. I currently have less than 10 BS6 figs but fear that will change soon.:lol

I'm really trying to be 1/6 only, but dang - that Black Series 6" snowspeeder and rebel soldier are insanely well done. The Figurarts stuff looks incredible but fortunately its somewhat expensive.

Figuarts has had a couple of misses, but when they hit -- best Farmboy Luke I've ever seen, for instance, with a better likeness than Hot Toys :rotfl ... besides the clutter thing it sometimes just felt like I was duplicating my 1/6 figures, not just character-wise but stylistically since SHF is usually realistic, so away it all went.

The snowspeeder is really cool but remains obviously a toy, as such it's more of a novelty for me to display that anywhere, something a little more whimsical than my over-priced dolls. ;)

You're definitely way ahead of me on 3.75 inch then. :D

Sweet pics jye including that Praetorian. :rock

Thanks!

There is a cool optical illusion that occurs with this particular figure and only this one.

Looking up on him you see his regular pointy helmet.

But when you look down on him his helmet takes on the look of the visor from OT guard such a cool optical trick.

See for yourself:

You can't talk expensive if you're buying 1/6 LOL

But yes Figuarts is FANTASTIC (most of the time)

I miss my 1997 12 inch Han/TaunTaun and Luke/Wampa. Remember that Wampa lol

They were insane for 97.
