Yes. Most definitely at that price point I would have gotten 2 but they do needs some modding imo. Now that I have modded it to my liking I am quite pleased with the overall aesthetic look. However majority of people wouldn't even be able to do half the things I did on MC.

Thanks, I've read more negative than positive about this figure. Plus I'm not into customing my figures.

It's all down to personal preference. I don't mod or customize my figures either but I was tempted this time. I like how he looks and people are still buying him at higher price points on ebay.
If you like how he looks and don't mind putting him in a standard museum pose then get him if the price is right.

Thanks! So the problem is his possibility not details? Yeah most my figures are in museum poses.

I'm going off youtube reviews and alot is saying worst figure of the year for 2015. Found one locally for $130, is it because of the price point people are hating it more?

Wow 130 is a steal

If you're halfway interested in this figure and can pick it up for $130 I would hands down go for that. I'm still happy with him - there is still no other representation of Master Chief out there that looks even close to as detailed and correctly proportioned as 3A's, IMO. I didn't expect much poseability off the bat because I knew the rubber suit was a thing, and I have always planned to have him in a museum pose, so I couldn't be happier with him.

Lack of posability, weak magnets in the back and weapons and the fact that he can't really hold the weapons are why people are so dissatisfied with this figure. The look is great.

Growing to love mine, even with the faults.
Main wishes are for more weapons and for him to be able to hold them closer.

Thanks, I'll go and check it out. I appreciate the feedback.

I guess almost the same price as the 18" NECA, but I don't have any of that scale displayed.

Nice!

Do plan to make a chip to attach to the chain to be a Lil more accurate. Did entertain making a poncho but saw it as to much work for my crippled hands. Will be keeping an eye out for some guns though, wanting along the lines of a br, sniper, needler and energy sword. Wish I could make but not so lucky.

Ya I thought I'd making a cloak or poncho should be pretty easy with the right clothe. I would love a sniper rifle as well

Was looking at a car wash shammy material but couldn't get the drop and look right in the end. Wanted it to be as near to screen shot accurate as possible but wasn't happy enough. Got something I can live with now though.

I've been on the hunt as well. So far this guy's shop seems to be the closest if you want to paint up your own:

lshyu on Shapeways

He has some decent looking Halo weapons (Magnum, SMG, rocket launcher, etc.) but I'm not entirely familiar with Shapeways' quality, and judging by the sizes listed they seem a little small to scale with these figures, although they're listed at 1/6. I'd be curious to see if anyone else had any experience with printing and painting Shapeways stuff.

Wow, thanks for the link, had no idea of such places. Unless anyone says otherwise, I think I may take a risk in one or two guns. Liking the look of a lot there.

I've printed a number of things destiny/halo weapons and armour, all have turned out nicely though a little sanding and painting is needed.
quick example, neither has been sanded

any weapon you wanted in particular?

I've printed some weapons from shapeways, some from iyushi (magnum, reach AR, and odst SMG) and some from other models I've found on the halo 405th forum(halo 4 BR, saw, sniper and storm rifle). I also printed a noble six helmet. I will take some pictures when I get home.

I painted them and put decals on some. They are roughly textured and look bad when next to the real ones. On there own they look good though. The light rifle is the 3a one for size comparison.

Do you print for sale? If so what would the cost be for the sniper rifle?

Look into Gentle Giant's Halo 3 die cast replica weapons. I think they made a BR and a Carbine only, at least that's what I have. They scaled well with 12" McF Chief, but might be too small for the 3A one.

Also there's the whole Halo 3 weaponry for Halo 4 Chief, but if you don't mind...

Can't you up the print size on things from Shapeway?
