I agree with you to a certain extent, but she's playing an electronic keyboard, which is much different than playing a piano. I used to play a keyboard like that a long time ago, but I couldn't play piano worth a ____.

If I'm not mistaken - that's more of an organ than a keyboard since it's got the bass pedals. I took organ lessons for many years - and that isn't easy - you got both your hands going and your feet.

It is. That's what I played, but there is alot more electronics in that one than what I played. I wish I had one like that! I ended up hating it and quitting. I would've rather learned piano but my mother insisted on this since she could play.

did anyone else really hate these super talented kids growing up? We had a few at my schools that were brilliant violin players or could remember 1000 decimal places for pi , could keep a soccer ball away from 10 kids or some other crap. every one of them was a smug little brat and all the underachievers or normal kids hated them.

I would have preferred piano as well - but my dad and my grandmother both played the organ. We had a nice one - a Hammond B3 with the Leslie. Still wasn't my cup of tea though - especially since most of the music my organ teacher taught me was church hymns. Not really hip for a grade schooler.

(I dunno. I think some of you folks may be easily over impressed. The kids is good, no doubt. But some of your comments really puts an exaggerated spin on things).
