did anyone else really hate these super talented kids growing up? We had a few at my schools that were brilliant violin players or could remember 1000 decimal places for pi , could keep a soccer ball away from 10 kids or some other crap. every one of them was a smug little brat and all the underachievers or normal kids hated them.

My best friend in 5th - 6th grade was an AMAZING fiddle player. The youngest member of the Old Time Fiddler's Association. I used to love to go to her house and listen to her practice. She thought I was nuts - but damn did she have some crazy talent. Most of the talented kids I knew were pretty humble. It was the drama club that was a bunch of snooties...and they weren't even very good.

I was always the most artistic of my peers in school, but was humble about it. However, that's probably one of the big reasons as to why my talent has got me no where in life. If I had put myself out there a bit more, perhaps I'd have made a living off of my art.

If I was his father, I wouldn't admit it. :peace

Until he's making millions, then you'd be singing a different tune. :rolleyes2

Organ = King of all instruments.

(I dunno. I think some of you folks may be easily over impressed. The kids is good, no doubt. But some of your comments really puts an exaggerated spin on things).

(Oh Caedus, I was actually responding to Chapter 2099)

:lurking

I have to say that what I like most about that kid is he sings with such passion. I can feel the emotion behind it - which I never felt in the original. There are a lot of kids that can hold a note - but this one's got that little extra something that makes him stand out, imo. I hope we hear more of him.

Are you being serious? :lol

Hey, I thought he was good and in 6th grade???

I wish I had that much talent on the piano, even at my age! I can't even play Rockband that well! :rotfl

you can tell from most of the kids boredom in the audience this is hardly the first time this kids brilliance was force fed down their throats. if they liked the kid I think they'd be a little bit more into it.

:exactly:

I kinda hope he doesn't do anything with a music career until he's older. Those young kids burn out too quick from media hype. And I certainly hope Disney stays away from him!

the kid reminds me of kate bush and tori amos in ways. very emotional and good control of the voice up and down.

Most kids act that way during performances like this. I'm guessing he's not the most popular kid in school, though this may change now.

Anyone who watched Ellen know why he picked THAT song?

If you don't have a big ego you had better have someone controlling you with a HUGE ego or else nothing will ever happen. :lol

I would have preferred piano as well - but my dad and my grandmother both played the organ. We had a nice one - a Hammond B3 with the Leslie. Still wasn't my cup of tea though - especially since most of the music my organ teacher taught me was church hymns. Not really hip for a grade schooler. :lol

holy crap, you had a B3? lucky girl.....

Enough with the Lady GaGa already. I'm crying Uncle over here.

Seriously, F this sissy crap. Long live Rock 'n Roll. :rock

Sweet!!
I used to play the organ as a kid too Jen!!! :rock!
It's funny because my teacher only taught me "kiddie" songs and I hated them...
I told him I wanted to learn to play the Star Wars and E.T. score...
and he told me those were too complicated for me...
I ended up learning them by ear by myself while listening them on tape!

holy crap, you had a B3? lucky girl.....

No kidding!!!
We had a Yamaha Electone B35 I think... !!! :D

Looks like the Illuminati puppet has got a hold of the young ones like planned. That above vid is hilarious and sad at the same time. As a parent I would never let her songs come out of my kids mouths in my home.
