Thanks for your quick answers, really appreciate it.

Also he asks for delivery confirmation. What is that? Sorry for even stupid questions =)

It an added service that allows you to check and see who signed for it, when, and where.

I almost always use it, require a signature and full insurance, especially on high dollar items.

Be warned..,. IF any problems should arise, Paypal almost always sides with the buyer.

Delivery Confirmation allows you to:

Track & Confirm
Verify the date, time, ZIP Code™ of delivery, and whether the delivery was made, attempted, forwarded, or returned.

Well I'll be damned. I'm still going to leave mine dirty, I kinda like it. Plus I have no intention of selling mine anyway.

Just got this mail from the buyer:

Dear yakostar,

Cool. the zip code is 520724. Btw, need another small favour. When you send out the item, please declare the value of the item as $150. Shipping to singapore with deliver confirmation is safe as long as you packet it well. Thx for everything. :)

Anything you guys think sounds odd?

well, he doesn't wanna be charged any extra taxes. But the downside is, if anything happens, all you would get back is $150. Glad my buyer was from the same country and I didn't have to worry about this:D I'd be a nervous wreck to send something like this undervalued

Personally, I wouldn't do it unless you know the person and I'm assuming that you don't. The only time I've even declared the value lower for anyone has been for someone I've dealt with or if the person pays via check/money order. Even if they requested it to be declared at a lower value, you're pretty much hosed if they payed via paypal and they want to be sh-tty.

Can you mark it as a gift and its true value so at least then it is not undervalued and the buyer won't have to pay customs? :)

It is very risky to declare a lower value just to help the buyer with his customs regs. You are under no obligation to do so and for such an expensive item, it would be inadvisable.

I don't know about there but here in good ol' Canada even if its marked as gift you still get dinged for duty regardless.

Must depend on where you live then, over here in the UK that works just fine..might be worth finding out which it is for the country the sellers sending to? :dunno

Thanks for your answers, should I just tell the buyer that I wanna send it as a gift or mark it as a 499 dollar item, his choice?

In hindsight, It might be a good idea to put that in the auction how you won't mark it as a gift seeing as how expensive it is. I, personally, wouldn't mark it for any less than what it's worth, especially with my luck.

Just got this message from the buyer:

yep. declare $150 on the customs form on the package. Pack it really well. As long as the shipping box arrives in good condition, everything should be ok. I'll send you the payment tomorrow... I have to wait for some funds to come in. Thx for everything Araz, it has been great dealing with you.

The guy has been registered since 2004 and this is his feedback score : ( 385 [Feedback score is 100 to 499] )

Should I trust him? I need your help :(

That's really solid feedback over a long period of time, so it's probably fine. If you want to feel a little more secure, check over his feedback, and look at the last few auctions he's won, assuming they're recent, it should allow you to check them still. If any of them are higher priced collectibles, contact the sellers and ask them if everything went smoothly (sometimes after leaving a positive, a buyer could still charge back the auction, etc...).
