That Joker is top notch! (not that I should be surprised!) Do hand paint your eyes or are those the Archer transfers?

they're a combination of paint, watercolor pencil and transfers but i don't use archers, i make my own :)

That's cheating! Ha ha just joking man but I've never heard of archer eye transfers? How do you make your own?

Very nice. I've used the water slides on a few projects with varying degrees of success, but your eye work always comes out so clean.

they are so-so decals. you really have to make your own, augment and hand massage the results to get decent results imo - lots of trial & error involved. tons of people use them but there's some tricks to making them look even remotely natural. there's plenty of examples of both approaches all over the place. i'm not a fan of paint when something must be tight and precise at macro levels where washes and dry brushing tend to becomes more obvious & symmetry is a must. i'm also not a fan of brushstrokes or telltale signs in my work, so i seek out ways to try to circumvent - it's ongoing. i'm always testing new methods in an effort to improve my results. my goal is to belie the fact the object was painted when the customer holds it in-hand, so i enjoy tinkering to that end :)

honestly, i only started painting in late 2012 so i'm not the best or most seasoned painter here - it's a fun hobby that i enjoy doing and have found i can make some decent money customizing while in-between design & illustration jobs :)

as long as i can make a living being creative, i'm pretty okay with that.

I totally agree man...I'm going to look into those. At this scale close up the decals do look very crisp.

mate, it is seriously unbelievable how good at painting you are for such a short time doing it. You honestly must have been given this awesome talent from birth and only realized this in late 2012. I know people who have been painting for 10+ years and are no where near as good as you!

I have gotten alot of work from many amazing artists from this board and although they are awesome, none come close to the awesomeness of what you have done for me :) thats why im so rapped to have you painting my remake jason, jason part 3 and chromeskull. What ya did with my pennywise was unbelievable everyone who looks at them say ur painting is the best LOL

also i feel ya pain with ya dog, one of my dogs eats everything, hes a big dog and always finds ways to get to food, once he must have jumped onto the kitchen bench and ate all the cupcakes my wife just baked LOL even ate all the wrappers. Hes also decided to jump on the coffee table and bite the lid off my fish oil tables and eat half of the bottle LOL cheeky little bugga. Gotta be so careful, good to hear everythings ok though :)

Bro that isn’t cheating that’s just plain smart :lol

Painting eyes literally takes me days, the actual process doesn’t take long but if you don’t let it fully dry and you make a mistake you are screwed. So if you can cut down that time and still get good results then that’s great.

I’m actually going to give it a try myself. Do you use the 1/6 or 1/8 scale ones?
