A General Chat about Hot Toys

Any ideas on what we might see first from hot toys new licences? ..tron,spiderman 3,,expendables,resident evil 4,smooth criminal .. from the new movies what one has the closest release date..i'd imagine we will see figures from that one first.

Thats the bizarre thing about the announcement for me none of those licences are exciting or something i want to be buying, depending on what the Spiderman is like i might want one of those.

I thought there would be some new licences that would make me overjoyed to be getting the HT treatment but as i said nothing interesting for me. I know thats only my opinion and there are others who are interested though.

I have 0 interest in anything from the expendables
Interested in Smooth criminal to complete a nice mj collection
Very interested to see how ho toys tackle tron..i predict some pretty amazing figures from that license.
Resident evil and spiderman , will be all over figures from them two.


I was just thinking today ..Hot toys Kickass figures ..and i know there is a thread about that already ..i'm just saying, a 1/6 hitgirl would be just insane!

I'm interested in Expendables as well as Resident Evil but will wait to see the prototypes. I'd only bite on Tron if they make Olivia Wilde's character.

I have on tap War Machine, Black Widow, Jill Valentine, and Abigail Whistler. Also pre-ordered T-1000, Dastan, ACII Eizo, and Iron Man Mark VI.

I may get Anniversary Bruce Lee, but that fig is looking mighty expensive. I won't be able to afford if it ends up more than $250.

As for 1/6 Hit Girl...scale is usually thrown out the window, so I dunno how'd she'd look as a "12 inch" fig!

Olivia Wilde..thats the girl from house right? ..i'd only be interested in a character with the bike ..some new 1/6 vehicles are long over due.

As for scale being thrown out the window ..i highly doubt hot toys would ignore the fact that hitgirl is a small 12 year old ..besides there Mars attacks and Astroboy figures are in the correct scale..so i don't see an accurate 1/6 hitgirl being a problem for hot toys.

It's unfortunate, or fortunate, depending on how you look at it - unfortunate because they would look so amazing and I love Kick-Ass so I would buy everyone released....

Fortunate because they would probably release two figures if we're lucky, and leave out the other two main costumed characters. For example, we'd get Kick Ass and Big Daddy but no Hit Girl or Red Mist

I'm actually a little glad that some of the licenses they've announced lately aren't things I'm interested in. Out of what you guys are talking about and considering I haven't seen Tron I would be semi interested in Spidey and a Tron figure.

Right now I currently have interest and or have paid for the following:

War Machine
Mark IV
T-1000
Beserker Predator.

Out of those lines, unless I find some serious sales on the figures that are being made that I didn't mention, I'm still keeping my eyes out for a BD T-800, final version of Whiplash from IM2, and any of the additional Predators minus the P1 Pred (already have the old one).

Kind of glad it's slowing down for me because next year with (god I hope it comes out next year and not this year) Ghost Rider, Thor, Captain America, Green Lantern and PopCulture's Thundercat line I'm going to be broke!

Hot Toys to finish their Watchmen license, or at least release Rorschach and Nite Owl II.

I would love the 4 main characters from Kick-Ass.

I can think of others, but not much could make me happier than those two things.

In the future, I'm hoping I get a good set of Men in Black figures when MIB3 rolls around.

Same here, the only figures I wan't are the Preds from the new movie Jill Valentine from RE5, plus there are a severall allready released figures I still want to pick up.

Agree with you there ..my comedian is so lonely ..id be perfectly happy with a Night Owl II and Rorschach ..i could do without a Dr Manhattan and Ozymandias.
Why would they waist there time on Perseus and dastan and not give us Rorschach and Night owl II!!

Because they gamble on a single figure from a well publicized movie and the reason they didn't do more of the the Watchmen was it died in the Asian markets. Asian markets are bigger then the US and European markets. Rorschach would have needed a new body to have him scaled correctly and the other two didn't sell well enough to risk the larger investment. The two of them already had bodies in production. That's just my opinion.

So i'm very exited this week, i'm redoing my collection room, getting it painted up, putting in a new shelf next to the detolfs to display a few more figures ..will defiantly make a thread to show off my collection when thats all done.
