A General Chat about Hot Toys

I got into HT just a few months ago, and after paying premiums to secure some of my more coveted figures, I guess I've decided to compensate by preordering anything that I'm remotely interested in.

I realize that I've fallen prey to their business model, but the way I figure it is that I can sell off some of these guys one day if I choose to, and oftentimes for a higher price than I actually paid.

Indeed! Thats my way of thinking too.

Which ones have you acquired recently? I'm still looking around for some grails myself.

I think I started collecting HT back in January... I've gotten quite a few since then, but the true grail grabs have been:

DX Joker - easily the most I've ever paid for a single figure... really liked the character in TDK though and figured a better version would never be made
DX Batman - most I've ever spent on an "accessory" (got him to complement Joker)
P1 Predator (got a steal on him for $200 shipped MIB back in February!)
T2 Arnie (thanks again Mike!)

That pretty much covers all the old HT stuff that I really wanted. Someday I might also look into getting lower priority wants like Leonidas, Blade, and Don Corleone.

I'm really looking for a P1. Hope to get one eventually without paying crazy prices. Sounds like you got a really good deal on the P1.
Will keep looking though.

Good selection so far man! My first HT figure was AWE Jack Sparrow and closley followed by Bank Robber Joker. And its been a crazy ride since...Im addicted, for sure. I love the DX line and I am eagerly awaiting DX Indy, Jack and Superman.

One of the craziest things about the figure aside from the obvious amazing head sculpt is the chair it's spot on.

Yup, overall HT's Don Vito is one of best 1/6 scale figures ever made (a big statement for me to made but it's true)

I wonder how are Hot Toys figures produced. Are bodies mass produced on some kind of equipment or a combination of parts made by equipment but assempled by workers?
What about head sculpts and clothes?
