They should use the Richard Kiel body and just put a one-piece furry suit plus headpiece over it - kind of like a tribute to the original creation. Then they wouldn't have to create a special figure. My main concern would then be the fur falling out, like it did with the original Hasbro Bantha.

The exclusive could be a Peter Mayhew head to go under the headpiece!

Should SSC go that route I think a Peter Mayhew head should be standard. Given the nature of the figure I think SSC would be advised to get Hot Toys to lend them a hand as they are second to none when it comes to engineering complex pieces.

I'm sure there's some way to make a hair suit for Chewbacca where the hair wouldn't come out, the main thing is figuring out how to get the patterns and then the weird stuff like the head/hands/feet whichwould have to be solid but still have hair on them.

Point being though, people will piss and moan about getting Boba Fett who could have been any character really where as Chewbacca is far more important to ANH and ROTJ. So while I'd like Boba Fett, I want Chewbacca more, especially so once ANH Han is out.
