If you had an unopened Terminator 1 T-800 MIMB, what would it's trade value be? Example, what other HOT TOYS figure is equal to it.

I've tried to trade mine several times and even though on EBay (I know they're a bad reference) it's asking price is the same as some of the other figure I'm interested in, when I make trade offers no one wants to trade. It's got to be him and something else.

So what am I missing?

Yeah, he seemed to have been produced in numbers so that anyone who wanted one got one. Add in the fact that it isn't the most desirable look from the film, and that hurts the tendency for folks to hoard and artificially drive up eBay prices due to speculative investment concerns.

Having said that, I would love to have another spare :lol

Best figure released in the last couple years IMO.

You guys are crazy, it's one of their best figures! Hold onto it DMR, he'll go up sooner rather than later. Sam is the worst mod ever. :wink1:

because the man who played the machine lost credibility and fan base for keeping love children a secret

If we were to collect figures based on actors morals we would have very few options.

How are they the same? :lol

Arnold's infidelities had no bearing on his previous ability to act. Clemons cheated in sport, which did, in fact, affect his credibility as an athlete. Apples and oranges comparison.

As someone trying to sell himself as being morally virtuous, sure. Arnold's political career is probably over. But I don't think fans of Predator and Terminator give a ____ about that on the whole.

If you need more evidence:

The T2 figures go for $350-400 because: 1) they're older; and 2) they are a more recognizable/iconic look from the film.

Exactly. I just purchased a T2 T800 from Toys2 for $300 plus shipping. The reason I passed on the T1 is this is my first T800 and the T2 is just more iconic IMO. For the TC, I feel the T1 will be very collectible in the future and the reason you are probably having a more difficult time trying to trade is that currently they are much easier to get and are readily available. Hang on to it for another a year or so and as new people come into this hobby you shouldn't have a problem. I for one will be picking up a T1, just need to gather some more cash as PO's are sucking me dry right now.

What does that have to do with anything?:lol Thats a horrible comparison. People who were fans of Arnold, still are fans of Arnold. His movie characters have nothing to do with who he is as a person. I and many others could care less about what he does with his personal life.
