I've been reading papers on the idea that there are human remains on the Titanic Wreck site, pairs of shoes or pairs of shoes with coats. Some that have been down there say they've never seen remains, others say deep in the ship there could be, and others say that there were bodies where these clothes were, and in the mud there may be remains.
My thoughts on this are this, when someone drowns they sink, it's decomposition that causes gases to form and make a body float to the top. Down that deep the water is so cold that maybe decomposition didn't happen, or even if it did under that much pressure gases would be so compressed that it wouldn’t be enough to float a body. After time microorganisms and the scavengers of that depth would eventually eat or dissolve a body, and under the mud there could still be bones.
Does anyone else have any views?
