A very sad day

This has to be one of the sadest days in my Sideshow collecting life. I will be cancelling all my Sideshow preorders because I need to place a down payment on a townhouse and I need all the money I can spare.

I will be cancelling the following pre-orders:

1) Indy Premium (Reg)
2) Thor PF (Reg)
3) Elvira PF (Exc)
4) Mystique PF (exc)
5) Iron Man Mark III Hot Toys

This is so painful...

Ya, so true. I should just be glad that I'm at least able to hold onto the pieces I already own without selling anything.

In my short "statue" collecting stint, I purchased the following items ...

1) Lara Croft PF
2) leatherface pf (for 25 bucks - you know that story
3) all 4 KISS premium formats
4) Punisher PF (thanks P!tu)
5) Mary Jane - AH
6) Emma Frost - AH
7) Asajj Ventress - 12"

and a bunch of Bowen pieces....wish I could get that Mephisto!

Did you order from SS? Cuz all you really had to cancel in the short term was the Thor PF (shipping soon). Lest we forget the first Freak rule:

Do not cancel until you see the whites of their eyes (that is, the last possible second).

That depends where he is buying. Areas like the Inland Empire and the Antelope Valley may continue to slide, whereas areas such as the westside and santa monica may have become stable (but I doubt it)...but alot of people are saying we haven't seen the bottom yet. Reality is...if you can afford it and plan to be living there for a min. of 10yrs...go for it.

the townhouse is located in Tarzana, which I could've been closer to where I work (LA). Itll be $200/mo for gas, easy

I'm going to wait a touch longer, most likely in 09.

Townhouses and condos will certainly continue to slide..

Also commuting sucks, a negative money and time consuming parasite of life, I would move closer to work.
