I have to agree with Bodie. Its going to get worse before its going to get better. The last thing you want to do is move further away from work. There is no telling what gas prices are going to do and the last thing you'll want is a long distant communte to your work. Your decision but I would really think about it.

i work in long beach and currently live in inglewood which is'nt a that far from work about 25 minutes. i work shift work so i usually miss the traffic 3pm to 6pm but when i get called out i have leave the house 2 hours early to make it on time. i'm looking for a house in the torrance, hawthrone, lawndale and carson area. i want to be aliltle closser to long beach. i was looking at the new KB homes in the san bernandino county online, a brand new 4 bed 3.5 baths 3,000+ sq feet living space plus 2 car garage for $300,000. my jaw dropped on how beautifull those houses are. the only drag is that it's about an hour away from work with no traffic. i told my wife about it but she's not to eger to move way out there.
