Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

LOl ...I dunno about perfection but I try to keep up :lol
Thanks for the compliment !

Still workin on these, hope to post picts soon . For myself, I like to have a certain level of refinement to stuff, no sharp edges or lumpiness, I dont like " rough " sculptin unless its for a bronze paintjob . Its just doin things I like that has everyone waitin... :slap

Thanks to everyone thats patient w my schedule:1-1:

Russ

If you are saying Alex's sculpt looks like a bronzes and the ones you made look like marble... I couldn't agree more.

Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

No not at all, I like his. He captured the characters too.
I was just saying , when I see heads finished like sideshow and hot toys refinement, like Trevors work, that's what Id like to set my sculpting goals to as far as the finishing . Not sure ill have the time or tricks to get there , but my other head sculpts weren't molded till they were pretty clean. It's just what I like myself. I may even do pores for certain head sculpts. But I don't think these 2 need that.

Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

Well I ordered a set of the sculpts Alex made and I'll also patiently await the completion of Mr. Barlow's sculpts.

I'm still on the fence about which to use for the A&C Meet Frankenstien Dio. As to how I'll be using the extra sculpts... I'm really not sure. They will certainly be put to good use. Maybe a scene from that film, or maybe from one of their other films, or possibly dressed as they were from their TV show.

Whos on first would be great ..or Go to Mars

Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

Russ (Mr Barlow) I don't know what pictures you are using as reference material for your sculpts.

If it is at all possible, could you post the photos you are using or just tell me at which point in their career the sculpts represent?

Thanks

Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

They are HERE!

My Bud and Lou heads just arrived from Mexico, and what a long, strange trip they have been on.

They spent the better part of a month in transit, but they are here now.

I'm extremely happy with both sculpts. If anyone is on the fence about these, rest easy. They are fantastic.

Thank you so much Alex Lopez, What an artist you are, my friend. Whoever I commission to paint these will be a lucky guy, I think they will just about paint themselves.

I'll post some unpainted pics of these soon. Stay tuned!

First pics of my new Bud and Lou Heads. First a great portrait of Dracula as he looks down at who will be his co-stars.

Thanks again, Alex!

Re: Abbott and Costello meet . . .

I'm very excited, Moe. They were a long time coming thanks to the Mexican Postal Service but they got here safe and sound. They are really beautiful pieces, I can't wait to begin working on all they will need to be complete. I will also be looking for an artist who can do them justice with their painting skills.

Thanks again to you for getting the ball rolling with Alex and another thanks to Alex for his astounding skills.

Jim

OK... Now that I've learned how to post pictures using photobucket, here are some shots I took yesterday of the two Bud and Lou sculpts made by Alex Lopez.

Enjoy
