It's probably heavier on paper because they calculate dimensional weight instead of actual weight of the piece.

So your saying that you think most of the weight is in styro and packaging!
Thats what aprox. 80 lbs in paper and styro! No way! I dont think so!

Its the statue! Most likly the heaviest PF statue to date from SS!!:naughty

I think legato is just getting at the point that dimensional weight is not an accurate assumption of actual weight because its based solely on the volume of the package rather than its physical mass.

Correct, the actual weight has nothing to do with dimensional weight.

Dimensional weight is not the actual weight of the package. It is the approximated shipping weight based on the dimensions of the packaging due to space it takes up. It just means it has a big fricken box...

Dimensional weight (also referred to as "dim" weight) is used when packages are large in volume, but do not weigh much. For example, the shipping cost of a large box of popcorn may be based on the dimensional weight because of the amount of space it takes on an aircraft.

Or see Wiki...

Yes I guess that makes sense!
Still my experience with SS is that the best things come in huge boxes!!
Hence this one = a great statue!

It'll definitely be a "big boy," so make room now!!!

Im just going to move over my monitor!
I have all my big guys on my desk, the best place to put them. Right at eye level and staring right at you!

I've always wondered how in the world did you get the contours of Grey Hulk's muscles to stand out like that in the first photo? (ie the dark lines around the muscles, etc.) I can take pics of mine all day long and get nothing like that. Is it just the lighting?

Yes in fact its all in the lighting! I experiment with different angles and then I bounce the light at times. It works very well against the black background!

Is that Ant-Man a bowen piece or just a custom statue? I dont remember Bowen doing this...Anyway look amazing in this Avenger display.
