As long as my Abomination is heavier than the Hulk PF I'll be satisfied. As he should be since he is so much bigger.

I dont think he will be, unfortunately.

Yeah when I seen the 35 lbs on the Sideshow site I was like what the hell. I mean the Hulkster is 51 lbs. Even though I have this on order I told Sideshow to ship mine a week after the regular shipments go out. That way I can confirm from other members that this is a solid statue instead of a hollow one. If it is hollow then I'm canceling.

Is that Ant-Man a bowen piece or just a custom statue? I dont remember Bowen doing this...Anyway look amazing in this Avenger display.

Its a custom statue done by Arahom of ARH. I think they are still available.

And since your all drooling over the HULK:

Wow, why would you cancel this when you've already decided to get it? Would a sculpt not being completely solid sway you against it? True, the Hulk is a very heavy statue however if Abomination were as heavy then I think the cost would be much higher. This would make Abomination a even more costly sculpt to the point where it would not sell at all. Shipping alone is going to be murder. I may pick this up on ebay if it goes below retail otherwise this piece will be one of those pieces I'll never own.

Weight is a very important factor for me. I know some don't care as long as it's a great sculpt but something that massive should equate the mass with weight and solidness. Otherwise every time I look at the piece I will downgrade it in my head versus the others since it's not as equally in weight.

And then goes the argument that I'm never go lift these guys up and down or what not. I don't really care, it has to be solid. It's just like 1/4 pieces weighing 8lbs, it's just not right.

:lol You should just collect rocks then! Its cheaper!

To an extent I would agree...I dont want my statues feeling like they are made of paper mache...but at the same time I don't think physical prowess of the collector should be a limiting factor on who can own the collectible!

I think you all missed a very important weight related fact...if its TOO heavy lots of people won't even be able to move it! Or run the risk of getting hurt if they do! The hulk wieghs 51 lbs and my wife can barely move it on her own...how much would a solid abom weigh?? You start talking >60 lbs and lots of people wouldnt even be able to lift it out of the box!

I'm not even sure the hollow factor saves Sideshow all that much money. The cost of the polystone is minimal when compared to the artist/production costs!

Does it have a grey styro because I heard that fake rocks come in white styros.

Maybe I should switch to Jordan sneakers and say screw the weight of the statues.

You could always drill a small whole in the bottom of his feet and fill the sculpt with sand or some such material.:lol JK but seriously weight is important and we all like nice solid pieces just not at $500.

As long as it looks good, i'm happy.

Rom's Hulk weighs like 5 Ounces, but it's a nice looking 5 ounce of Hulk rage...:lol

Plus it gives you more display options and i'm afraid that my Hulk PF will break my foot when I finally get around to dropping him. :horror

Hose out
