what specifically looks bad?

I do notice it looks like he has a gap from his hairline to his forehead

is the paint suppose to be like that on the side of his face ? maybe im just overreacting ?

I could be wrong, but I think that's supposed to be a shadow cast from his hair.

I have read a couple of people mention it.
I think its going to be on them all.
personally I could take it or leave it. It does seem a little odd, but I guess its there to similated lighting/shading and probably wont really show unless closely inspected.

Id sit on it for awhile and see what pics other people post. If they start showing up with no shading in that area I might would return it. But Im betting its across the board.

If it really cheese's you off send it back. I can't find any other pics of that piece other than the SS produced ones. You have time though. I'm guessing they'll all have it.

i think you're ill wait and see what everyone elses looks like.but i can see the darker shade under his chin through the plastic.

Just saw that! They blew the paint on the lips big time! Send it back.

I'd send it back. The lips look nothing like the prototype and that's a huge area on the right side of the face that doesn't have the white makeup. I don't think it's supposed to be a shadow. I think it's a sloppy paint job.

its a tough call.
fuzzy pics that were on SF (now gone) showed the brown looking worse on that particular one.
So my initial thought is that if you dont want the brown, youre not going to own an Ace cause I think they all are going to have it to a certain extent. Why its there at all I dont know.

The lips are just a flat out mistake.

I have to admit that brown coloring is looking kinda bad. At first I though it was an attempt by SS to make the paint "fade" into the skin color, like if Ace had not fully applied the paint around the edges of his face. But I don't understand why it would be brown?

And lips are an obvious mistake.

Bottom line is, are they mistakes you can live with?

I for one really dont like them and would be leaning towards sending it back.

i started leaning in that direction when i first looked at it.i dont think its suppose to be a shadow because the same brown is under the chin

i THINK ITS NOT THAT BAD.hE LOOKS OK IMHO...THEY SCREWED ON THE LIPS HOWEVER.WHERE HAS GONE THE ATTENTION TO DETAILS WITH SIDESHOW???
