I feel the base is too empty. For now, I'm adding some small leaves (sorry for the bad picture). I would like to find some broken statue pieces also, I think it would look good, kinda like Amon Hen.

I felt the same. I was planning on making him a new base. It doesn't match anything else in my collection, and I suppose it should be more of an outdoors setting, to match the Dunedain/Ranger look. I'm still appreciative that they've given him a base at all.
Good work with the leaves

After seeing Jacob Rahmier's and Zebraten's work with hair , decided to give mine some hairwork.
I'm satisfied with the result

Gave him a custom stand for an outdoors setting. Tried to make it realistic. I removed the top of the original stand and made a new one. The old one is stored, so its a reversible change :)

Decided to get one even if I wasn't sold at all for the sculpt and rooted hair. And I am still not sold, but I must admit this figure is a little work of art...clothes are outstanding, weathering is really well done but the weapons are top notch. The elven knife, in particular, is a tiny masterpiece!
The only things I really can't understand, given the incredible overall level are the lack of runes on Anduril and the Ranger sword&scabbard made in black instead of green. Why?!?

I just read some complaints about the lips's sculpt, and I admit I totally agree. Although it seems that the sculpt has changed since the proto (which had indeed awfull ducklips) it's one of the reasons I felt I had to repaint the beard.
The thing that bothered me was the lack of "beard paint" on the relief just under the inferior lip, which seemed to make a roll of flesh. With some paint on it, you can see a beard relief, and no more a roll of flesh. Very easy to do, even if you don't want to repaint the entire beard. For me it solved the problem.
Here are a few shots in macro; the figure looks better in hand.

Why don't you touch up his eyebrows while you're at it? Look at the triangle unrealistic shape. I would have to repaint everything except his eyes should I ever buy this. :)

If I had to nitpick mine it would be the lack of paint on the beard. The hair was a easy fix.
