Hah, all the Assassin's Creed "fans" are just casual gamers who truly aren't hardcore for their so called beloved franchise. It's why their threads are dead and the RE ones very much alive. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the RE fanbase is global, HUGE compared to AC. AC doesn't have the hardcore fanbase that RE has been building for over a decade.

Because all the creative talent left Capcom on bad terms. The Capcom of today is run by money grubbing ignoramuses. The current generation of "gamers" weren't around during the inception of Resident Evil, much less the PS1 days and prior. They started gaming when the 360/PS3 came out, or at the very least PS2/Xbox/GC.

So to cater to them is to shoot yourself in the foot. They weren't around when RE was at its best. The gamers of today have short attention spans, either playing CoD/Battlefield only and if not, venturing out to say Assassin's Creed, Arkham City, or Tomb Raider. They know nothing of what it's like to stick with a franchise for so long, through the generations. Well, gaming-wise anyway.

Changing a well recognized name brand to cater to a different crowd goes beyond shooting yourself in the foot, it's slapping all of your fans in the face, taking a dump on the name, THEN shooting yourself in both feet because you're apparently incompetent and possibly mentally challenged.

The QTE's in TR are far too unforgiving. It ruins the pace when you keep escaping a collapsing something or other and you die a few cheap times because of the short window the button prompt has. Thats one thing id give RE6 over it. Its far more forgiving.
