Coulson was in all the marvel movies except for first avenger, incredible hulk and iron man 3. I think it will be a sure bet that he'll be in Avengers 2. I think with the exception of Maria hill, the main people on coulsons team would have small blink and you'll miss them cameos.

He wasn't in WS ......basically the two Marvel films after his "death." thus the curiosity if reuniting with Fury would prompt a big screen appearance.

Whoops yeah, that one too. There's just no way that they wouldn't have him show up. That kind of reunion can only really take place in a movie and I can guarantee it will be one of the main things that the marvel movie geeks will be looking for when it comes out. I mean lets face it, I'd say it was the fans that showed the studio execs how beloved Coulson was. Plus movies are where the money is, you save a reunion like that for the movies.

Let's also not forget that the likelihood of getting any of the avengers actors to appear on the show is pretty slim.

If I were Coulson, I would be more focused on building SHIELD back up, that means stay hidden, even if The Avengers are defeated by Ultron because the new SHIELD wouldnt be ready

I think season 2 is gonna tie into GOTG and Avengers 3 big time with all the Kree writing on the wall, Skye possibly being an inhuman and that leading to the introduction of the inhumans via a movie. Just hope Coulson doesn't complete lose it for good and comes back from insanity

I would be they'll tie into Avengers 2 big time, just like they did with TWS this year. They might have a reference or two to Guardians, but I don't think much more than that similar to the reference to Extremis in this season. I can't imagine them not building this up to Coulson's return in Avengers 2. He can't be globe trotting for years without the Avengers finding out sooner or later, especially if he's trying to rebuild SHIELD. He can't do that completely unnoticed. You got to imagine Stark will be keeping close tabs on Hill at least and I'd have to imagine she'll be in contact with Coulson/Fury at least some point.

Let's also not forget that pretty much any fan of the movies and AoS is pretty much expecting it to happen and is a big side reason for seeing it. You can bet that if they decide to hold Coulsons return for a future movie, every single review will mention it and consider it a check in the negative box.

Yeah I agree abou it tying into the other 2 movies as it airs between them. I'm leaning more towards Skrull than Kree at the moment

Won't be skrulls, mainly because Marvel are already setting up the Kree but also because of uncertainty over who holds the rights.
