He can't. He's blown up in smithereens, and he's not a TV kind-of-guy... I imagine, ABC/Disney/Marvel Studios and the Whedons had some pull to allure him in several episodes.. but yes, he's done.

I disagree with ArtDamage. I think for Network TV it's good. What else can you expect from a network ordered 22 episode series? Only so much money can put into each episode and so much thought process and work into that many... if it was condensed down to say 13 episodes, or even 10, maybe we would get something a lil' more amped up and exciting, but I am not even sure of that. Look at shows like True Blood that have half the episode run, there is a lot of filler there as well. It's been pretty good for what I see compared to what network TV usually offers... which is crap upon crap, oh and reality crap, which is worse than the usual crap they put out. AoS is refreshing and the only show during the Fall/Winter/Spring I enjoy following before the Summer shows I do like, like your Orange is the New Black variety start up.

Excellent cap to the season. I'm glad I stayed all the way. Its going to be interesting to see how they get around, where they get funding etc.
I'm wondering if Skye will be extra dimensional instead of alien since Dr Strange is on the horizon.

I doubt the Agents of SHIELD stuff has anything to do with his movie contracts. Those appearances are probably negotiated separately.

Yeah and the thing with Samuel L. Jackson is that the guy LOVES to act and be part of the story. I wouldn't be surprised if it was his request to be in the show.

It really is. After this episode that better be his go-to weapon for when he needs to *****k S**T up. Nothing would make me happier than to see him using that again, in the Avengers 2.

This has been my Son's main cosplay at conventions since last year, he's actually pretty well known as "Kid Coulson" now when we attend.

He was absolutely bouncing off the ceiling last night when Fury handed Coulson the Destroyer Gun, pumping his fist, clapping his hands.

And Coulson's line "I know what it does"......perfection.

What a way to end the season. Probably one of the best finales ever. Great dialog and it's nice seeing some cleanup taking place.

I thought it was a good finale, but not one of the best for me. Have you ever watched Spartacus? The season finale of Spartacus Season 1 (Kill Them All) is without a doubt the best season finale I have seen to date.

Does anyone here know what kind of contract Sam Jackson signed? He's been in 2 iron man movies, both of cap's, Avengers, and now two Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I know to to the majority of the public he is Nick Fury, but how many of these appearances is be signed up for?

I think he signed a 9 movie deal with Marvel if I remember correctly.

It is too bad about Paxton. He was great all along in this, but him going maniacal was definitely him at his best.... and the way Fury and Colson were just pissing with him was great.

i rewatched the episode today and that opening scene where the boss at Cybertek was giving the new employee a tour - he says something like "Some people volunteer, while others are in the same situation as you" referring to the Incentive Program / his family being held hostage.

I dunno, I think it was pretty obvious. Skye mentions incentive package and then it jumps right to opening the door and the guys presumable wife sitting in a locked room. Same goes for Ace.

finally got around to watching the season finale yesterday. such a great way to end the first season. the Fitz-Simmons scenes had me tearing up and i cheered when Fury picked them up out of the ocean. the way they handled Garrett was wonderful and i usually hate cliffhanger season endings but these cliffhangers keep me wanting more.

Also Fury telling Coulson he is an Avenger and being made Director Coulson!!! **** yeah

i cant wait to see how the Avengers handle Coulson being alive in Avengers 2
